The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
Yeah, I swapped all the tubes and used my HD650 and LCD-X on it and couldn't find any problem so I am pretty sure it's the phone. In this case should I contact the dealer or Beyer directly? By the way, I bought it from a eBay store of an authorize dealer.- gahung

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
Could you guys help me out here? I bought my T1 months ago and recently the left channel sounds funny. When I turn off the WA2 there's some noise coming from the left channel. Also, the low frequency is totally disappear. The drum sounds like farting. Should I send it back to the dealer? From...- gahung

Is the official upgrade tubes the best for the price? Since I have some drive tubes left I don't need to find the ECC88, but I have a hard time finding NOS matched paired 6080 and EZ80 tubes.- gahung

A way better built? You are not talking about Audeze I guess. At least I had no problem with my HFM phones but my LCD-X came with a faulty cable at first. Not meant to start a fight but I feel like people want to discuss Audeze phones should go to the corresponding threads otherwise from my...- gahung

Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone
You are right about the sensitivity. That is a big consideration when talking about headphones. Maybe I am wrong about the current but my main concern to the performance of analog amplifier is if the transfer function is linear. Even though an amp may have enough peak voltage or current to...- gahung

Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone
Yeah, I don't know the answer for this my friend, but for me I have been buying used amps to try as many amps as I can with limited budgets. Sometimes reviews are helpful but people have different taste and most of the time they mislead me. I had design some non audio amplifiers and I will look...- gahung

Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone
...WELL. From my experience, the low impedance high sensitivity phones are the hardest to find a matched amp since it needs a lot of CURRENT. (P = I^2*R, so to output the same power, low impedance hp needs more current. I know it's too simplify but that's an easy way to look at it. I don't see...- gahung

HD800 vs HE1000/MHP1000 impressions. Suprises all around!
Yeah I am sorry about the confusion. In my option, one need to spend time on a lot of nice phones to learn what a good sound is. For those who own mid to high end gears they have idea what is wide(deep, narrow) soundstage, what is bright(dark, neutral) sound, and etc. Without it it's like people...- gahung

For IEMs I have HFM RE-400 and Shure SE525. Full size I have a LCD-X ,HD650 and Momentum. Amps Burson Soloist and Lyr. Since they have the LCDs and HD650s I am not going to bring mine. The Lyr is noisy so I guess if I will go, I will bring the Burson and some IEMs with me.- gahung

Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone
I think that's why you buy (interested in) Hifiman because the price they offer is lower than their competitors. I wouldn't say a $400 headphone and a $2000 headphone have no difference, but the TOTLs are way over priced. I didn't realize that until I got a lcd-x recently. I would really like...- gahung
