Dilemma: Keep HD 700 and purchase Woo Audio WA7 2nd Gen for it, or buy HD 800 S?
Go with a pair of hd800. Much cheaper than the hd800s and add a schiit valhalla 2 with the savings. Buy 2nd hand too.- julzd

Sennheiser Momentum impressions thread
they definitely look a little bigger from the pics, and as slightly increasing the size would be a smart move by sennheiser, i would suggest they probably are bigger- julzd

HiFiman HE-500 (HE as in High End) Proving to be an enjoyable experience in listening.
Thanks! I was having somewhat of a similar issue too and this completely fixed it. Also, as it is built around the original headband it is completely reversible. Unfortunately I didn't take step by step pictures, but it is basically made with two overlaid strips of straight cut neoprene (as wide...- julzd

HiFiman HE-500 (HE as in High End) Proving to be an enjoyable experience in listening.
Just chiming in here, I personally found the headband rather than the pads to be the area responsible for the majority of comfort. To that end I modded mine by thickening out the padding (and using a nicer material) to give it a better hold on my head. Once this was done the pads became...- julzd

1964 Ears
Does anyone know why shipping is $38 to countries other than the US in the kickstarter? Shipping for heavy fullsize headphones is usually less than that...I was expecting more like $10 or $15 at max for iems...- julzd

1964 Ears
Does anyone know how the new u-series will compare to existing 1964 customs in sound quality? For example will u8 be technically better/worse/equal to the current v8? And will the u6 beat the v6s or would the v6s still be the way to go? Probably no one has definitive answers but I was thinking...- julzd

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
It's to do with the mid/treble transition I think, compared with phones like he-500, q701, w1000x, sr225i. Something just sounds right to me at that certain frequency range - the planar mids in the he-500 are magical too but they sound more lush and embellished (as if they are not really trying...- julzd

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
I have played violin for quite a few years now and, of the headphones I've had the pleasure of listening too, I do think hd600s have provided the most tonally accurate representation - they really do deliver very well on their claim of natural sound- julzd

Fiio E11 For sennhiser hd 600
I haven't tried any better than e11 for the price it's at now. The next good upgrade is probably the O2 (schiit vali would be real nice too based on what I've heard but that's like $90 used still)- julzd
