Custom Cans Impressions Thread.
Anyone know what their turnaround is like for headphone cables? Ordered some cables at the start of the month and haven't heard anything.- Jarmel

HiFiMan Susvara
Saw a post on Reddit today about a person receiving Susvaras where the screws were falling out and stripped and was wondering if anybody has had any quality control issues and how HiFiMan responded. I have some Susvaras on the way and I’m pretty worried about the QC. Edit: I can't link it- Jarmel

Ferrum OOR - headphone amplifier with a soul ?
I apologize if I'm not being clear. I essentially want output only to the headphone outputs when headphones are connected in, even if the XLR outputs from Oor are plugged in to the studio monitors. I understand if I disconnect the headphones I can still control the volume to the monitors. I...- Jarmel

Ferrum OOR - headphone amplifier with a soul ?
My concern is if I want to use the headphones, would it disable output to the XLR outputs on the back or would it push audio through both the headphones outputs and XLR outputs at the same time.- Jarmel

Ferrum OOR - headphone amplifier with a soul ?
I take it there's no way of controlling the volume to the headphone outs and the XLR outputs on the back separately? I have studio monitors and so there's no volume control on those.- Jarmel

Ferrum OOR - headphone amplifier with a soul ?
Is there a way of controlling the output like if you wanted to use either the headphone out and the preamp stuff at different times but had both plugged in?- Jarmel

Ferrum OOR - headphone amplifier with a soul ?
Does anybody recommend a dealer in the US? Seems like it’s MSRP across the board in which case might as well just order directly from Ferrum.- Jarmel

Mad Lust Envy's Headphone Gaming Guide: (8/18/2022: iFi GO Blu Review Added)
So I'm trying to decide between the Sound BlasterX G6 and the Schiit Hel2. Is there any strong preference one way or another? Mainly concerned about the sound quality. I'll be using both on my PS5 and PC. I'm not concerned about the price difference between the two, primarily which will sound...- Jarmel

Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!
Are there any cheap 4pin IEM cables? I'm trying to find some to replace my stock JH Audio cables and it's insane that they're now charging more for the basic ones.- Jarmel

Sennheiser HD820
I was at the seminar today where Grell talked about the design and he seemed super reluctant to say they were better. He felt more comfortable saying they were alternatives to the 800S than anything about them being an actual successor. It’s worth noting too that what I listened to was the...- Jarmel

Sennheiser HD820
Alright. Soundstage seems noticeably worse than the 800S. Bass is slightly better but fairly identical for the most part. They’re very similar but the reduced soundstage kills it for me.- Jarmel

Sennheiser HD820
So I was listening to the 820s at CanJam and I wasn’t remotely impressed. It felt like a slightly inferior version of the 800S. I understand that was somewhat the goal, in that they wanted to get as close as possible to the 800S in quality but I personally have zero interest in paying more for...- Jarmel

Sennheiser Momentum In-Ear Wireless Discussion and Reviews
I just ordered the HD1 Free. I’m curious about the sound quality considering I’m going from the JH Audio Roxannes to these.- Jarmel

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
I'll have to A/B it more but it seems like the acoustic decay is a bit better. The soundstage with my Roxannes might be better than my HD800s. I'm not sure I like that haha.- Jarmel

Just got a used Mojo. Is the vol. + ball supposed to be difficult to roll? If it's unintentional, is there any way to make it smoother to roll?- Jarmel

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"
My customs definitely sound better than the universals. They sound a bit brighter and the sound seems cleaner. The universals could be a bit muddy. Don't have a problem with the customs at all.- Jarmel

JH Audio Angie Impressions and Discussion Thread
The pins were absolutely atrocious. I had multiple headphone wires DOA due to the pins snapping. Not to mention they might snap in the IEM meaning I had to dig them out. The new connectors are leaps and bounds better.- Jarmel

I just wanted to say apparently this is wrong. I contacted JH today and asked and there's a physical/software aspect to it but it's not that simple I guess. They didn't want to talk about it for production secrecy reasons though.- Jarmel

That's probably my hunch too. The customs though are supposed to be 4th order, despite not being FMJ, which is surprising considering they didn't make a big deal about it on the website but the person I was speaking with said they were going to do an overhaul of the website at some point...- Jarmel

JH Audio Angie Impressions and Discussion Thread
Which tracks were people having sibilance issues with? I could try and listen and see if I notice anything. I'm not a big bass head, otherwise I wouldn't have the HD800s, so it's kinda surprising to myself. However the Roxannes make the music heavier due to the bass so it's sort of nice...- Jarmel

JH Audio Angie Impressions and Discussion Thread
I'm not sure I have the Roxanne 2s as mine is in the acrylic casing but according to the person I was speaking with at JH, they said that they only make it one way now, so it might be? It's confusing because their website still lists the customs as third order like the older versions but...- Jarmel
