The WS99/WS77 PG 57..
I will mainly be using these at home and listen to mainly rap but also some pop and rock. I like bass but i feel like im missing something when listening to some music, and i have a small head only on the 2nd notch on the hfi-580 headband.- Thumpinmood

The WS99/WS77 PG 57..
Ive been looking at both these and the a900x and cant decide. I was gonna go with the a900x but i dont know how well they would fit on my smallish head. Then the ws99 seem to be portable but i was wondering if with the HM5 pads they would be more comfortable for at home listening. I would also...- Thumpinmood

New in ear buds for my new iPhone 5
I might take back my Dunu recommendation then, they are excellent for hip hop and rap but the treble is kinda of piercing i guess you would say? Maybe someone else can chime in.- Thumpinmood

IEM's or headphones for around $150ish?
The ATH-M50s are good but not for the price they have been going for. Maybe the Hfi-580, i have them and use them for the same genres as you. They are excellent for what i got them for, idk how good they are for the extra 60 bucks more than what i paid for them on amazon. Also are you leaning...- Thumpinmood

IEM's or headphones for around $150ish?
Where will you be when using these? If you are more stationary, headphones are more comfortable for most. If you are moving more, IEMs and on ear headphones might be a better idea. Also when using headphones, over the ear or on?- Thumpinmood

Recommendation for sound canceling headphones
What iems did you have? Were they perhaps earbuds? Ive found my iems to be comfortable up to a few hours, you need to let your ears breath with any headphones occasionally. With ANC headphones i have no experience.- Thumpinmood

$300 Portables?
Maybe the Dunu Tai-Chi or Eph-100. I own the Dunu and are great for rap and the like. But take what i say lightly as the only other headphone i have is the hfi-580.- Thumpinmood

I listen to mainly rap like Kanyes old stuff, Kid cudi, Lupe fiasco and so on so bass is important. Sometimes i listen to bands such as Evansescense and Earlyrise so...- Thumpinmood

Quote: I am new to the forum but have lurked for much longer so take what i say with a grain of salt. I would start out by checking jokers iem thread. It has over 280 different ones at this point. He rates each one by isolation and sound plus many others. Just looking i saw 6 that seemed to...- Thumpinmood
