I'm noticing that the headphone jack on the X3 is quite a snug fit for most of my headphones. Sure hope the construction and soldering of the jack is sturdy. The X1 was the same way.- christoophat

Sorry, many q's as I work up to RBing this thing tonite: As far as themes, are there only particular models' themes you can use ( for instance , only ones made for Sansa Clip) ? Obviously non-album art friendly ones are needed.- christoophat

Rockbox Xduoo X3
Tru dat. But confirming: only ONE SD card needs the .Rockbox folder on it in order to work properly in the X3. As long as the one in SD1 has it, I'm golden?- christoophat

Just got my X3 yesterday, and plan on getting RB on it this weekend. To confirm , do I need to put the .Rockbox folder on *both* SD cards, or just the one in Slot 1?- christoophat

Rockbox Xduoo X3
There's been many threads regarding brands of SD cards & their measured versus claimed specs. Have you tried another SD card with your files to see if that fixes things? I only use Samsung EVO or SanDisk, both have been tested & measured well in comparisons. Yes, they cost a little more, but...- christoophat

Have you tried using a smaller font? I would see some "overscan" pixels like that on my Clip+ if the theme I was using had default fonts that were too tiny and I'd bumped up the font size for better readability.- christoophat

XDuoo X3 DSD 24Bit / 192KHz CS4398 Chip Lossless Music Player
By the way can any dedicated model RB themes be used or just from certain models? I saw the post where RB is running on an ihifi 770C and it seems to allow album art, which would be great, but also reading about quality issues, I think this one was a better choice. update: found the themes link...- christoophat

XDuoo X3 DSD 24Bit / 192KHz CS4398 Chip Lossless Music Player
Thanks Bob! Although I'd already found the needed files, I'm still not sure how to actually install them on the player. I'm assuming both bootloader & OS need to be installed, as with any other & also assume that the RB utility app doesn't work for the X3? & yes, we DO need a X3/Rockbox thread...- christoophat

As much as I didn't bond with my X2, this X3 +Rockbox is drawing me in. Tried to see about order thru A.E. and that seller per above comments but seller is offline, so no way to claim headfi membership. Is there a link to the how to to load RB onto the X3?- christoophat

Ihifi 770 & 770c Thread
Since my dear Sansa Clip+ seems to have gone bonkers (RB GUI has become a pixellated mess, tried reinstalling it, but there's something corrupted inside), I need to find a new DAP. The 770C is currently on one of those mass buy sites for a good price. I really need to be able to shuffle thru...- christoophat
