    Upgrade from EP-630?

First things first, I don't consider myself much of an audiophile. I know what I think sounds good, what's clear vs what's muddy, and can tell the difference between something ripped at 128 kbps vs. something of a say, a 192 kbps bitrate, but that's the extent of it. Anyway, I currently have...

Need budget IEM recommendations (+ brief Zune 120 impressions)

Sorry, should have dug around a bit more before asking my question. Thanks!

Need budget IEM recommendations (+ brief Zune 120 impressions)

I picked up a Zune 120 yesterday and so far, so good. I was a bit hesitant due to the lack of EQ, but I must say, I'm not missing it much at all. Paired with my EP-630's, the bass is booming and the soundstage is pretty good. It sounds comparable to my Zen Vision: M with custom EQ settings...

Considering a Zune 80, but have a concern...

Thanks for the help, guys. Presuming I'm not going to re-rip all my older CD's, I guess in a roundabout way, all I'm asking is if I can do better than a Zune if my requirements are: good sound quality with 128 kbps mp3's, 30+ GB of space and large screen. I suppose a 32 GB ipod Touch and...

Considering a Zune 80, but have a concern...

Hey guys, I'm looking into picking up a Zune 80, now that they're a little lower in price. I have a Zen Vision M that has been good to me, but I'm ready for a change and just looking for something a bit more sleek, with a bigger screen. Anyway, the problem is, my collection is ripped mostly...

Return the Sennheiser CX300's for the Creative EP-630's?

I just got an e-mail saying J&R has the Creative EP-630's in stock for $30. Now, I've been very pleased with the CX300's which I bought from there for $60, but I'm not too crazy about the J-design, so that change would be welcome. The straight plug? Not so much, but I'll manage...but more...

    Closed, portable and affordable?

Well, I went out and bought the CX300. I had a $25 gift card from J&R, so I went over there on my lunch break. As for the phones, when I manage to get a good seal (which takes a bit of fumbling for me right now) the sound is amazing. I'm really impressed. I still have to figure out the quickest...

    Closed, portable and affordable?

Hate to bump this, but I think now I may be considering an IEM. I don't know how well I'll take to it, but I've been using a cheap set of MX300's I bought from J&R the other day, and I really like the portability of it. They sound kinda crappy and don't stay in my ear very well, but I think I...

    This cannot be true

Man, I wish they weren't hideous clip-ons (and open, but that's just because of my needs). I'm looking for portables right now, and Radio Shack is right near my office. UGH!

ZVM Owners: Any problems with your device?

Nope. I've owned one for a couple weeks now, and the most I've experienced has been laggy response from the unit navigation or when transferring files.

Wow, thanks for all the replies, guys. It's not everyday you ask for help on a message board and get a flood of helpful responses. I think at this time, I'm leaning towards the ATH-FC7's. I mean, they seem to fit all my criteria, and the whole issue of portability? Well, this picture helped...

    Closed, portable and affordable?

Well, I care more about others around me not being able to hear what I'm listening to, than blocking out outside noise. If there are certain open models which don't suffer from much leakage, I'd be fine with that.
