Best Cheapo computer Speakers under 90 dollars?
Altec Lansing MX5021 are pretty good choice for music/movies ~100 If u want to step it up to ~150 -200, Alot of people recommend Alesis MK2 or Swans M200 or M-audio ???? but the last three are monitors so no sub =(- RageX

Total noob installing an AV-710.
1. - That cable running from the back of the cd/dvd to the soundcard is only used for very old OS's , if u have anything newer i than win95( or 98 which you most likely do), the audio should be running through the IDE to the motherboard. 2. - Not much, if you want the keep the onboard sound...- RageX

No, Actually I have read on configurations about s/pdif in the new intel HD audio to be bit perfect but I'm not sure about jitter on onboard. I'm not sure if yours is on the intel HD audio series, but I'm using itmyself and can do a perfect stream pass in foobar with dts files using kernel...- RageX
