E4c vs SE215 bass comparison
I own the SE210 and SE315. SE315 is quite simlar to the E4C in terms of sound signature. The SE210 has much higher bass output than the SE315. The strength of the SE315 is in the mids and i regard them to be more balanced (monitor like) than the SE530 (which i owned previously). For this...- niranhopper

NEW! AKG K812
Being a female vocal music fan, my impressions of the Q701 was more forward vocals than the HD800. The Q701 does something special in the vocal frequency range in a good way. Another vocal specialist to me is the HD600.- niranhopper

NEW! AKG K812
It can be looked at from the other perspective also. Sennheiser departed from their traditional HD600/HD650 sound signature to compete with AKG. Considering how long it took Sennheiser to Launch the HD800 from the HD600 (omitting HD650 as it is a different flavour), 5 years development is...- niranhopper

NEW! AKG K812
Going by HD600/HD650 pattern, Sennheiser might come out with a HD850 ( a veiled HD800)- niranhopper

AKG K812(?) Professional Headphones - coming soon
Is AKG the only company which doesnt believe in balancing headphones? They have included a single sided connector similar to the X7XX series. maybe they upgraded it to 4 Pin :)- niranhopper

Just when i am done and dusted with this hobby, AKG teases me with the K812. Cant wait for launch and glad it is not a celeb endorsed headphone. Hope AKG comes out with a cooler presentation movie like the one for HD800.- niranhopper

Closed headphones for on a plane?
I have used and enjoyed the AKG K550 on a long distance plane. Very good isolation and comfort. But i guess they are quite big in size :( IEMs are also great since they offer good isolation and block the ears from varying air pressure. However they are too sensitive for in flight...- niranhopper

AKG K702 65th Anniversary Edition
Posting this for information. I checked with AKG about headband parts in UK. The K601 headband cost 56.7 GBP and the K702 (65th annie) cost 137.99 GBP. Also there is an addition 7 GBP postage. Looks like it will be cheaper to buy the K702 annies and not bother about replacing the parts on...- niranhopper

Sony MA900 vs Sony CD900st
New MA900 user and so far i am extremely impressed with the bass. It is tight and huge. Reminds me of the HD800 which i owned sometime back. However, i do not find the mids and highs very refined. After reading this thread, i feel perhaps the resistors corrupts the signal. There is one resistor...- niranhopper

AKG K702 65th Anniversary Edition
Quote: I checked with them by mail. They were happy to ship to UK if i cover the shipping cost. I was happy to do it and they said that they will get back to me with shipping costs. Upgrading from Sennheiser HD555 to Sennheiser HD800, questions;-)
I have used M-stage and HD800 and it is a very good combo. The M-stage controls the highs which works very well when paired with the HD800. You will have to spend lot more to get something better. I used the stock version of the M-stage and i found it better sounding with the default opamp. ...- niranhopper
