I could go Back to bradford's next week and chat with the owner again, provided we had an agreed-upon date. Is everyone down with the first weekend of August? I'd also like to make sure we know exactly how many people are going to show up. by the way, sorry I've been incommunicado for a...- Neruda

Oregon meet location!
I stopped by Bradford Hi-Fi on Friday but I did a terrible job promoting our meet! Still, the owner said that he might be interested so I'm going to go talk with him again once we have some more info. I guess we should try to figure out the date now and make sure that it works for him; I think...- Neruda

Oregon meet location!
hah! look at this. An Oregon meet? Again? Dare I slip back into the Audio world from which I escaped so long ago? Yes, I think I dare! Budgie, it'd be great to meet up and compare notes again. I'll try and keep myself updated on what you guys are planning to do. Me, I'm in Eugene so that...- Neruda

My violin
I do not play violin, however as a musician I can make at least a few suggestions. Making your instrument a central part if your life is the only way to ever master it. Practice physically, and then think about violin during every minute of your free time. I only practice a few hours physically...- Neruda

Definitive Technologies speakers

Downtempo/Triphop Recommendations
Thievery Corporation's DJ-Kicks compilation is exceptional. If you haven't heard it then you should definitely check it out. I also like Kruder & Dorfmeister's "G-Stoned" disc, which is really laid back. Really good music for, you know, chilling with your friends. By the way, isn't track 2 off... -

Remember how annoyed I made you?
yeah, well, I haven't been posting a lot, even though my last post is relatively recent. In fact, I'll have to thank moo for pointing this thread out to me in the first place. I guess that college has made me lose most of my interest in headphones. The irony is that it wasn't until I went to...- Neruda

New MS1s. First "high end" phones; a revelation! Question
man, I haven't heard a thing about the alessandro grados for a long time! In fact, I'd forgotten that they even existed! http://www.alessandro-products.com/headphones.html to answer your questions: I personally have never noticed an increase in efficiency during break-in, but I suppose...- Neruda

Denon DRA-685 receiver: opinions?
I think I'm actually going to go with either a Cambridge Audio A300 or A500 now, so long as I can find the right deal... -
Denon DRA-685 receiver: opinions?
that would be...um...eloquent. -
Denon DRA-685 receiver: opinions?
does anyone here own a Denon DRA-685 stereo receiver? I'm thinking of picking one up on eBay for ~$250, but I want some opinions from people here before I buy anything. In fact, if anyone has any opinions on an integrated amp or receiver that I should buy for less than $300 (used or refurb is...- Neruda
