I A/B'ed the 4s to the 5 and on my fischer audio dba-02 with comply tips the 5 sounded slightly better to me but it could be all in my head.  If you look at the RMAA result graph, the rolloff is at such high frequency and is so slight that I laugh and the 'golden ears' that can perceive this...

That is strange as mine looks completely different then you've described with no capacitor soldered to the chip's legs.  Both of my modules slid into place without any issues.   DIR9001 is the green one below:   Quote:

Other posters did not have both modules at the same time and can very easily swap between them.  The WM8805 sounds much too "smooth", you lose all details!  I am not just trolling here and will answer all questions asked.  DIR9001 installed, WM8805 on foam block. Th   Quote:

I had the ER4p and now have the DBA-02.  ER4p bass, to my ears, was very lacking with the grey foam tips compared to the DBA-02 with comply P's.  As a all around performer, DBA-02 is both better sounding and cheaper to boot.   Quote:
