Correlation between smartphone's DAC wired vs. wireless connection
This might be an easy one, but I currently have a Nexus 6p known to have pretty terrible audio quality. I have some Sony wireless headphones that sound BETTER over bluetooth APT-X than they do wired directly to the phone (I've been told Android Oreo and the Sony headphones support LDAC but for...- kiteman

New Sennheiser Momentum In ear
I wound up returning mine. The sound was fine--probably not worth $100--but definitely good. There was ample bass and they are pretty efficient IEMs so get pretty loud. I thought the isolation was above-average and I didn't notice much in the way of microphonics cable-down. The volume...- kiteman

Clarity One EB110 Review
Yeah I forgot to mention USD. Heck I don't care if they each last me 6 months. $30 for a year or so worth of good IEMs is completely worth it. I'll just stick a pair in every suitcase just in case!- kiteman

Need help with basshead, isolating IEM for around $100 with 1-button/mic!
I own Nuforce 600M which are currently being warrantied for the 3rd time, they just keep breaking. They aren't the best in the world sound-wise but I do like their efficiency (get loud without an amp) and their bass. They've been mostly great for anything, except travel as they are pretty...- kiteman

Audio Technica ATH-M40x: The Little Brother that Could
I've bought two over the ear phones and just don't like them. Got the m40x today and think they are so low on volume and really hot on my ears. I'm just going to stick to my Nuforce 600s.- kiteman

Audio Technica ATH-M40x: The Little Brother that Could
I assume it helps as a volume boost though on a phone? I figure it is free since the M40x alone is the same price as well.- kiteman

New Sennheiser Momentum In ear
Do you use an amplifier? I find even with volume on extreme on viper4android, on airplanes I am turning the volume all the way up on my S4. No amp here. Not so much with my Nuforce 600M though, I guess they were just very efficient at sounding loud and clear at lower phone volumes. I'm also...- kiteman

New Sennheiser Momentum In ear
Yeah it really helps doesn't it!! You think turning up the gain is okay on the headphones? I just hoped it wasn't making them work too hard. But yeah, viper4android is the #1 reason I rooted my phone.- kiteman

New Sennheiser Momentum In ear
So, they can sound fantastic because you can tweak the gain/volume as well as the bass boost...and it still sound clear. Most boosts sound terrible, but not with viper4android. Problem I have is that I'm not sure if boosting the gain and bass hurts the headphones. I've asked on the...- kiteman

New Sennheiser Momentum In ear
Love 'em so far. They have a lot of bass, but I appreciate that. I also don't think the cord noise is bad at all. Buttons work fine with my S4 on a custom ROM. Definitely worth the $100. But seriously, viper4android makes these headphones even more amazing.- kiteman

New Sennheiser Momentum In ear
I'm very excited to get these on Monday. It's a shame there are so few Android-compatible headphones out these days. Especially considering viper4android. Do any of you run it? It makes even a $10 pair of earbuds from wally-world sound great. I'm sure it would neutralize out some of the...- kiteman
