Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)

been using the Odin on and off while keeping it running since I got it have 100 hours on it now - so its half burned in? my god this IEM is super versatile for reference - I only use it at home (because of the price of the IEM) plugged to my RME-ADI 2 i am a basshead - with bass on +6 with...

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)

finally received my Odin! Huge thanks to @Jack Vang and @TaronL from Headphones.com I tried the Odin, Hero, and Nio demo about a month ago and walked away with the Hero. Not long after going home I had regrets not able to bring the Odin home so I quickly placed an order for the Founders...

i dont think anyone is calling the Hero 'perfect' but more so for the price you paying for the Hero - its checks more boxes than other IEM in that price range which is what makes it so amazing. The kind of sound you get out of the Hero you would assume (to the experienced) its more aligned with...

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)

met @Resolve in person when I went to test the Nio, Hero, and Odin Some points align with mine (i posted my impressions here earlier) but I found the Hero have more bass quantity and quality without the muffled mids that the Nio had. Regardless I feel you cannot go wrong with either Nio or...

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)

I would almost say nio and hero are similar Except , to me, hero has more energy in the mids and clarity while , most importantly, more bass and sub bass ahaha As for Odin, it's mainly that I need having two different iem for different types of listening and like my review above, I feel Odin is...

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)

As requested - I decided to grab my U12T from my friend that I lent and do a quick comparison between the Empire Ears Hero and 64 Audio U12T For some context - I just purchased the Hero yesterday and have been using it pretty much non-stop with some breaks inbetween to compare it with my...

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)

yep - i will do a comparison between the Hero and U12T maybe later this week when I get my U12T back from my friend I have been using the Hero a lot hoping to 'burn in' before this comparison for a better representation (not that i fully believe in 'burn in' but just incase)

i wouldnt say necessarily the U12T has a deeper insert - but because of the size I can push it in more if that makes sense The Hero and Legend X if I try to push it in too much the outside of my ears feel sore, which could be mean its angled wrong or I am just not used to it yet.

not going to lie but I had a slight worry about pressure relief as well - but after 5 hours of listening to Hero + Legend X, never had I once felt any discomfort. With the U12T I felt slight discomfort if I pushed it in too much - but thats not pressure issue, more so the shape maybe? As for...

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)

they are different yet similar.. in a sense? im not too good with audiophile terms / reviewing but on some tracks the Legend X shines more than the Hero and vice versa. Overall though - I would base my decision on Legend X vs Hero on 2 factors 1) If I had to choose Legend X or Hero and only...

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)

i mainly listening to chinese pop - so not sure how relevant it really is While I agree regarding the brain 'burn in' - i tried similar testing at home with my u12t vs legend x vs hero, while not a similar comparison like the nio, i did not have the same issue On the Nio - i would be confident...
