Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only difference in the two is gauge. In theory, the slightly higher gauge should transfer a little cleaner. We've all tried another blend cable with the 846, the stock cable. In sure Ted offers those as affordable stock replacements. For me, the small cost... -

I'm not sure what this has to do with headphones, but I got my Volvo 740 turbo and BMW M3 up to ~130mph and my CLK 500 maxed out at 155mph. Not sure I'm interested in doing that any more. I've gotten older and wiser. ha These days I get my thrills from 846's and rubies.- justuspost

I've also noticed that the cable helps and the source is super important. If I run a lower quality source, you can reallllly hear the low quality of the source, which could come across as a not-so-good IEM. Just when I was feeling blue, I swapped to a high quality source, custom OCC cable...- justuspost

It's a winter blast here in Oregon. UPS, FedEx, and USPS isn't running in Portland today. So if Ted were to get them in the mail, I'm not sure they would leave the warehouse. Stay safe Ted! -

Another streaming service: Beats Music
Almost all of their stuff is 320. http://support.beatsmusic.com/hc/en-us/articles/200459220-What-audio-quality-bitrate-does-Beats-support- I've been on it since day 1. It's not bad thought my Theorm 720. You occasionally get tracks that seem off, but most everything is OK. Their...- justuspost

Yeah I'm not entirely sure what material they are. They were clearly milled. The right fits well but the left doesn't seal unless I push on it a lot. I think I'll have it redone. It's a somewhat softer material but more along the lines of soft plastic than earplug material. -

The tips are customs from Starkey labs in mn that I got through a local audiologist. Today I bought two blood red rubies to have set in the eyes of the skull. I'll post pics as soon as they arrive. -

I'm not sure if I would want to go lower for $40. I would certainly go higher for another $40. If you're worried about $40, I'm not sure this is the right hobby for you. That being said, if you're on a budget, I'd work really hard to fit in either level of cable you can swing. Totally worth it!- justuspost
