Just got my klipsch image s4's just now!

i just got a pair yesterday too! So far i'm pretty impressed. Granted, My only other IEMs are Marshmallows, but these are considerably better for sure. i use Shure orange foams with my Marshmallows, and the S4s with the medium gel tip isolates just as well. There's a considerable amount of cable...

    LOD draining iPod battery?

Well, considering that i hadn't had this problem until i got the LOD, i'm inclined to think it's the LOD. i've had this iPod for almost two years, and have never had this kind of problem before. Normally, when i pause the iPod and let it sit for a few hours, the battery drain is very minimal...

    LOD draining iPod battery?

i just recently got myself an LOD for my 80 GB iPod Video and my E5. It works fine, but if i leave it plugged in to my iPod, it drains the battery, even when the iPod isn't playing. Should this be happening? It does have a mini USB port and a dock connector on it, bit i can't imagine why they'd...

    First decent pair of phones...

i can't comment on the OK1s, but i do have the OK3s and Marshmallows (as well as an E5), and listen to quite a bit of death metal, and some post-rock as well. The OK3s are great! They definitely don't have the bass of the Marshmallows, but the mids are much more prominent, and there's just a lot...

Taking the plunge: buying my first headfi inspired rig today!

Cardas makes a nice mini cable in 6" and 12" lengths. i use the 6" one with my E3. A bit odd since the cable cost twice as much as the amp did, but it's definitely higher quality than the one included. Plus, both ends have right angles, which is nice.

Are these the pads people use on there Yuins?

i recently bought some OK3s, and i use the Radio Shack foams with them. The silicone pads that came with them felt weird, and the Rat Shack foams fit better, and add a bit more bass. i'd like to try donut foams, but every time i try to make my own pair, the hole comes out being too big. You...

    another "looking for earbuds" thread

Hi there, long time lurker, occasional poster. i'm looking for a new pair of earbuds to use with my 5.5G iPod. Until recently, i'd mainly been using a pair of AKG K314Ps. i liked them, but the buds themselves are rather large, so i feel like i keep having to re-adjust them sometimes. Sound-wise...

    JVC Marshmallows- alternative tips?

i use the medium orange Shure E2c foams. They're a better fit and more comfortable (for my ears, at least), and the sound is better because of it.

    Earbud suggestion (not IEM)

The AKG K14P (or K314P, they're apparently the same) are nice earbuds for around $20 or so. Better than the stock iBuds, they're a lot clearer and fuller-sounding. Bass is a bit lean, but the Radio Shack foam earpads (thicker than the stock ones) improve the bass quite a bit.

What are the best replacement tips for the JVC Marshmallows?

Hi there, long time occasional lurker, first time poster. i bought the Marshmallows after reading about them on here, and have been pretty into them. Although my headphone experience is pretty limited. Anyways..... The Shure E2C orange foamies work really well for me. The bass is a lot...
