JVC Marshmallows- alternative tips?

Since headfi, I have spent mucho dollars on
KSC75
J33 marshmallows
and got back much more in return.
Here is my 2cents back.

I learned that the bass from J33 was not present when the IEM
did not seat properly with a good seal with the stock plastic/foam tip.
Therefore I did the following to improve the IEM insertion and seal.

I took a pair of Mack's soft foam ear plugs, which are about twice the length of the J33 stock tips.
Then I took a safety pin and drilled down the center from the flat circular side, all the way through to create a pilot hole for later expanding.
I then cut the Mack's soft foam ear plug in half (to shorten lengthy-wise) with a box cutter.
After that I used a metal chop stick (or a thin smooth rod can be used) to expand the hole opening just enough for the ear plug to fit over the J33 grey tube.

When fitting the newly created foam tip onto the J33 grey tube, the foam tip will be deformed from handling, and that is ok; just let the foam re-expand.

I think the Mack soft foam ear plugs are much cheaper to buy and you can make two pair of tips for each pair of Mack's soft foam ear plugs.

I now get bass from my iPOD shuffle. These J33 marshmallows are very efficient.
