I dont personally know, but you could contact Lawton Audio. They work on these headphones 24/7, and even make aftermarket cups, so they may (no promises) be willing to give you some inside info

You can't find many headphones that are the equal for the AD700s anywhere near this awesome price range as far as gaming is concerned. Until you get to some very high end open headphones, easily 4 or 5x the price, you won't find this accuracy in soundstage anywhere. Not as fun as my D2000s...

The source is VERY important in any setup. Your amp cannot improve what it doesnt receive from the DAC. It will definitely be the weakest link in your system. Not to say it will sound bad, but you will get a definite improvement if you upgrade
