Would the headphone jack on an Onkyo SR504 have enough power to drive the AKG K701? Would I really see a big jump in sound quality versus my HD595? Thanks Euri

Will the headphone jack on a Onkyo SR504 receiver provide enough power for an AKG K701? I am trying to avoid an amp. If the receiver can do it how would the AKG K701 fair on a headphone jack of a Klipsch pro media 2.1 system? (PC system). Thanks Euri

My hearing has gone down through the years thanks to nerve damage from ear infections as a child. During the day I can watch TV at a louder setting with no problems. At night it is a different story and I will need headphones to help me out. Don't laugh but I found in storage an old wireless...

I can never look at my HD595 the same way again after seeing that color I can listen to them the same way though Congrats on your purchase.

I really enjoyed the K701 at the meet on Saturday. So much so that it looks to be my next headphone.

Agghhh this is not want I want to hear. I guess I can pretend I did not read this post. My pair of HD595’s were delivered to my office this morning. The day is dragging so slow because I want to get home and try them out.

The PC150 has the mic on the side of the left headphone that you can put up along side your head or down by your mouth for games like Counter Strike. I have it and the mic works great. No one has any issues hearing me loud & clear.
