Will the headphone jack on a Onkyo SR504 receiver provide enough power for an AKG K701? I am trying to avoid an amp. If the receiver can do it how would the AKG K701 fair on a headphone jack of a Klipsch pro media 2.1 system? (PC system). Thanks Euri

I really enjoyed the K701 at the meet on Saturday. So much so that it looks to be my next headphone.

The PC150 has the mic on the side of the left headphone that you can put up along side your head or down by your mouth for games like Counter Strike. I have it and the mic works great. No one has any issues hearing me loud & clear.

Does the headphone jack out of the right speaker on the Klipsch 2.1 setup have enough boost to power most high end headphones? I litterally just purchased a Sennheiser HD595 from Amazon ($199-$150 GC). The 595 should have no issues with it but what if I upgrade to a HD650 down the line?

I love the sound of the CX300 so much that I am putting my pair of ER6 up on EBay this weekend. I did plenty of tests with both headphones using my airhead headamp. The ER6 just sounds flat next to the CX300. Watching movies on my portable DVD have come alive on my daily commute.
