#223 arrived today here in the San Fernando valley. It matches by coincidence, my HF-1's serial which is 223. whoah... Synergy.

I was looking for a dac out of my crappy mini-mac, and saw this. Anybody review this yet? I can't seem to find a review or comparison and am mighty interested. I don't really need usb, but it let's me use some older equipment, besides my toslink cable. It's also cheaper than the grace...

I haven't tried it with 225's but with my Grado-HF1's and Senn 650's it sounds great. I have both the 1700 and 1900 - both built like tanks and sound great once you have them aligned and brought up to spec. [de]

Mc owner here - awesome pre amp and amp. The solid state amps and pre's sound very tube like. In fact, that's what roger russel from Mc said was their intension. For an example checkout the MC240 TUBE and the MC250 which is solid state.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I'll search and watch for a Los Angeles/SoCal meet - although it might be kinda weird - like, hi, can i come in and listen to your different amps... I'm reseaching both the tube and solid state approaches. This really takes some time - but is fun...
