Not yet. I'm waiting for my "Magic Red" Anniversary edition Sennheiser HD 595 (ordered from digitalmind) which should arrive next week. I'm looking forward to more dealings with Customs...

If you think about it, a free trip to the doctor would pay for your Headfive taxes five times over. We have to pick our battles, I guess.

Of course...

It's irritating, though, when the regulations are applied randomly and arbitrarily. So far, I seem to have been the only Canadian charged.

In any case, this subject is getting old fast. Let's drop it, shall we?

Not true. I was charged $18.68. $6.90 for duty, $6.78 for GST and $5.00 handling fee. I didn't mind paying it one bit and I'll repeat that for a $250US amp shipped from Germany that is not bad at all.

Got my #207 here in Sweden on Wednesday. Ordered it on Saturday, paid for it on Sunday. That's speedy!

Now I am enjoying my Sennheiser 580's even more than before. This is my first proper amp, I've used an old Philips DCC 900 as a DAC/headphone amp for a long time. The H5 is of course in a whole different league...

I did an RMAA-test with my Transit soundcard, 24bits 44.1kHz, with and without the H5 inline. I ran each setup 3 times since the test fluctuates somewhat. Guess what? The H5 did not alter the measurements a bit, the Transit's noise level was still 98dB, with no more crosstalk either. I like that!

Just returned to Head-Fi after a two year hiatus. And, as before, I'm sorry for my wallet.....

Saw the HeadFive offer last Friday (7/7).....ordered early that day and paid up with Jan.

Serial #211 received 7/12. 5 total days from order to delivery in DFW, Texas.

Lovin it already.

Thank you Jan for the awesome offer!
