Mad Dogs vs. SRH 840 vs. DT770 for Rock/Metal.
Hey, how did you end up liking the mad dogs for your music? I've been scouring these parts for some good closed phones for prog/metal/djent/electronic listening. P.S. I don't quite understand what's so faux pas about resurrecting an old thread if there is more good content to add to it...- enthewhite

SE215 chicken or the egg?
I just picked up the Shure SE215, and although I am in no position to review them, I can say they sound great to my ears so far! What I am curious about is the popularity of this model. The se215 is the only model IEM that both of the pro music shops in my area carry. I am interested to know...- enthewhite

Electronic-Prog-Rock-Something?
Okay, first off, thanks for all the suggestions. There is a lot of good stuff in there that I will be looking further into, such as Jon Hassel, Sky Eats Airplane, and Tortoise. I have music from Opeth, OSI, and Mogwai which I enjoy. Having said that, it is still not quite what I am looking for...- enthewhite

Electronic-Prog-Rock-Something?
Ah yes, thanks for your reply! I have heard Ozrics and do like what I've heard so far. I am surprised I forgot to mention them in my post. I like the fusion of rock and electronic with them, but maybe a bit on the jam-band side as opposed to what I am looking for, although I do enjoy their music...- enthewhite

Electronic-Prog-Rock-Something?
Wow, this is great! I have been poking around here lately to research headphones, but didn't realize there is such a wealth of good taste in music too! Anyway, I have been looking for some music lately, but I am not quite sure how to search for it, I guess because I am not even sure if it...- enthewhite

New ATH-M50
@Pianist What it is the cheapest amp you would recommend using with the m50? I am not about to spend more than what I paid for the headphones on an amp (not because I don't believe it would be worth it, I just don't have that much to spend right now)- enthewhite
