college question; will I be able to get a job?
I know several English majors who now work at top financial/banking companies. Think Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, etc. They make plenty of money with great bonus/benefits right out of college, even without a graduate degree. That's not to say that sort of industry will interest all English...- dwchin

Well, I kept it on General assuming that it was the non-crossfeed option just based on the name. According to drarthurwells' observations, they're labeled backwards, with General sounding like it's crossfeed instead. I haven't compared the two, so I can't really confirm that.- dwchin

Isolated Vibe-like headphones for my Kenwood HD20GA7 player!
You'd be surprised -- the Sony EX 51 looks the same, but sounds boomy, muddy, and generally unimpressive when compared to some other 'canalphones.' Don't go by just looks alone- dwchin

Recommendations: comfy IEM's for small ears?
Ultimate Ears are very comfy, but aren't exactly known for their low-profile appearance. If she has longer hair, she might not mind that they stick out just a bit. I'm not sure she'd like the over-the-ear style cables, although you could theoretically wear the UEs straight down instead of over...- dwchin

please recommend universal remote that meets my needs.
Well, I haven't found cheap little remotes that control audio components very well, which is why I suggested the Harmony remotes. I can use them blindly, but then I know where all the buttons are and what they should be doing. My only other suggestion would be to just buy a cheap remote that... -
please recommend universal remote that meets my needs.
Seconded -- Harmony makes great remotes. They can do pretty much anything you want them to do and have a huge database of devices. You could even have it control your fans, computer, lights, etc. I have a 550 and a 720, both of which are excellent. The newer 720 is nicer with slightly newer... -
