Burson Audio Play DAC/amp - Audible Current Noise/Ringing Noise
I was wondering if anyone here has dealt with current noise/ringing noise caused by amps, and if you have any suggested workarounds. I have been using the Burson Audio Play (V6 Vivid opamp version) for about 1 month now. I really like it, but there is this issue that has persisted up until now...- DaWolf1205

Is there something wrong with my new amp? (Schiit Magni)
First off, I'd like to mention that the Schiit Magni + Modi (optical) is my first amp+DAC, and I use the HD598. I have two problems: About every hour or so, I will start hearing a cracking/buzzing sound on the right side through the headphones. This can last anywhere from 3 to 10 seconds...- DaWolf1205

Want to use headphones on my PS3, but with volume control. What are my options?
Thanks for the tip, I'm currently looking for a good one now. There are plenty to choose from on Amazon/Newegg, but do you know of any that wont cause much quality loss? I'm not expecting the best quality, but I'm willing to pay more to avoid quality loss issues.- DaWolf1205

Want to use headphones on my PS3, but with volume control. What are my options?
I use an LG HDTV which has a 3.5mm jack, but the audio quality through it is horrible. It constantly makes cracking sounds, so I'd like to avoid using it if possible. So I currently have my PS3 hooked up to the TV with HDMI, and I set the audio to output through RCA cables. I use a 2xRCA...- DaWolf1205

New Headphones on an Asus Xonar DSX with a dual LME49990. AD900x vs ?
I'm running an Asus Xonar DSX with a dual LME49990 amp chip. My HD558 got damaged and I wanted to replace it, so I bought the AD900x, but I'm wondering if I could have made a better choice. I'm willing to spend a bit more money if it'll be worth it. I'd like to buy another Sennheiser because...- DaWolf1205

Options for swappable OP AMP on Asus Xonar DSX?
Sorry, I'm an idiot, I meant to type HD558. I've also modded them by removing the foam on the inside, which apparently makes these equal to a HD598 now. Thanks for the suggestions though, I'll check those out. EDIT: After looking up those chips on digikey, it looks like they aren't the type...- DaWolf1205

Options for swappable OP AMP on Asus Xonar DSX?
Hello everyone, I am using an HD558 and I am interested in trying out different OP AMP chips on my new sound card. I am currently using the LME49720NA, which I purchased from here: http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/LME49720NA%2FNOPB/LME49720NA%2FNOPB-ND/1647708 but I'm wondering...- DaWolf1205

Need new earbuds/portable headphones, $20-50 budget.
Hello all, I'm looking for new earbuds to use with my phone and with my laptop. I mostly have FLAC rips on my phone, though I don't know if that would make a big difference. I also like to watch HD movies on my laptop. I listen to a lot of orchestra, or video game and movie soundtracks...- DaWolf1205

Strange faint audio crackling that only happens when I am downloading.
I tried disabling every other thing under Playback Devices, and I also disabled all Recording Devices in the Sound properties on my computer. I also went into the Properties for the output that I am using and I muted all the things under the Levels tab (CD Audio, etc.) but none of this helped.- DaWolf1205

Strange faint audio crackling that only happens when I am downloading.
No, I have it plugged into the back of my computer. Also, I seem to be hearing it now even when there isn't a lot of network activity, so I may be hearing my hard drive.- DaWolf1205

Strange faint audio crackling that only happens when I am downloading.
I just bought the Seinnheiser HD 558, and I am using it with my onboard audio (Realtek HD Audio, ALC888S). I have an ethernet cable directly connected to my computer. The motherboard is the MSI X58 Pro. I hear this sort of crackling noise while I am downloading. I also noticed that it happens...- DaWolf1205
