    The higher you go on Fluke's DMM range, the more accuracy/resolution you get, this is the main difference, and you get other goodies like bigger screens (to accommodate the accuracy you get, you usually need more numbers :P), new reading capabilities like frequency readings, LoZ, bigger ranges...

    I can recommend you the Aoyue 2900, I have one and I like it a lot. Can be found in UK here: Aoyue 2900 Soldering Station Out of stock at the moment, but if you can wait.. More than enough power, temp controlled, tips with heating element, big tip catalog, slim iron, etc.
