The Dre's are definitely comfy, but the SQ just isn't up there. I also walked by bestbuy today and tried the QC3's(saw them as I was walking around). The have a very fake kind of sound that just didn't sound right.

Hey all! I'm kinda noobish and new to the headphone world as well as this forum. But I was wondering what kind of benefits I could expect to gain from using a DAC & amp such as the iBasso D2 Boa. I'm running my Denon's straight out of my laptop right now and they sound pretty darn good already.

Only if it sounds good enough, will I spend my max limit. I doubt I'll ever go over like $500 though. My GAS(guitar acquisition syndrome) is much stronger than my headphone obsession.

Of course I can enjoy lower grade music. It's the music that makes the headphones worth listening to, not the other way around.
