Recommendation for a hotel in Chicago this weekend?
Wow, rooms are a lot more expensive than I thought. When I originally looked I didn't realize how far away from the downtown area the cheap places were. Saving some cash would have been nice, but I am the one driving and that means I would have been the designated driver and thats no fun...- bg4533

Recommendation for a hotel in Chicago this weekend?
Some of my friends and I are going to Chicago for the weekend. We have no real plans. We are just going to hang out for a few days. We were originally going to stay with some friends, but that isn't going to work out so we need to find a hotel. Can anyone recommend any hotels close to the...- bg4533

Digital Camera recommendation
A friend of mine is taking an intro digital photography class next quarter and needs a suitable camera. The class asks everyone to have a 4MP camera that allows the user to select the exposure and shutter speed or aperature. An SLR is encouraged but not required. My friend has a lot of...- bg4533

Anyone know where i can get cassettes?
My grandfather refuses to move to CDs or any newer media. He loves Frank Sinatra and listens regularly in the car with his cassettes. The cassettes are starting to go bad and my grandmother cannot find any replacements locally. I think she was looking for My Way, but anything would be better...- bg4533

wierd problem with Dynahi psu for Dynalo
Are you positive that all of the tabs are isolated from each other? The OPA541s can be connected. Everything else should be separate. I have a Dynahi PSU powering a Dynalo, but i think my resistor values are a bit different so my readings aren't completely relevant. With PSU on and no...- bg4533

Alps Black Beauty
My pots arrived today. I actually forgot I ordered these things. These pots are huge. They are heavy and seem solid. I haven't listened to them, but for the money they seem like an awesome value. I attached a picture of the Alps I just received (Black Beauty I guess) next to a Alps Blue Velvet...- bg4533

Dynalo is a great amp!
I love the Dynalo. I prefer it over the other SS amps I have tried, even my PPA with Steps and diamond buffers. The PPA does seem to excel in some areas, but I just like the way the Dynalo sounds. It is kind of funny, but I have built a number of Dynalo configs and I think I prefer the cheapest...- bg4533

delivery problem
As I started reading this post the fedex man walked up to my front door and left a package without even knocking. Fedex just leaves everything now and doesn't even bother to knock. I live in sort of a crappy neighborhood and I am surprised nothing has gone missing yet. My old apartment was...- bg4533

Morgan Jones Construction Tips
I have one of these boards too, but haven't built it up yet. If the enclosure is flimsy be careful. The tubes might get hot and cause deformation. If you plan on chassis mounting the tubes you will probably have a lot of flex when changing tubes. The build seems fairly straight forward, so...- bg4533
