Thanks. It took me a few hours of shopping but I found a small enough screw and washer too.
Congrats. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of these around. They're still a real joy. This thread has been dead for 2 plus yrs. I just picked up a Code X3. Made with the HE-5 reissue. All I can say is wow! This is the best planar I have heard and owned. Detail is off the charts and the tonality as Jozurr said above is spot on. The tonality is so realistic. The sound of Beck's guitar and vocals on Lost Cause is simply perfect. I know this headphone isn't new, but I am super happy to have it in hand. Can't wait to explore it's charms and enjoy it for as long as I can.
Thank you! The only thing I have noticed negatively is that they are making my ears hot. Is there a way to mitigate that?Congrats. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of these around. They're still a real joy.
I'm not too familiar with the X3. As such, I'm uncertain what pads Luis used. Are they velour, leather, or are they custom?Thank you! The only thing I have noticed negatively is that they are making my ears hot. Is there a way to mitigate that?
They feel like Ori pads to me. Sheepskin.I'm not too familiar with the X3. As such, I'm uncertain what pads Luis used. Are they velour, leather, or are they custom?
That would make some sense. Try rolling some pads. They feel like Ori pads to me. Sheepskin.
I have a pair of brainwaves angled sheepskins as well. I have no clue how to change them. LOL... Do they just snap in and out? I am the least handy person on the planet. That would make some sense. Try rolling some pads.
Unless you opt to roll the Audeze pads which use adhesive rings.I have a pair of brainwaves angled sheepskins as well. I have no clue how to change them. LOL... Do they just snap in and out? I am the least handy person on the planet.
They are much better. A smidge lighter without the hot spots in my ears. Sound is a bit softer too, not quite as aggressive. Toned the treble down a bit. Like it!Unless you opt to roll the Audeze pads which use adhesive rings.
