This is a long shot, but is there anybody in town who can help me solder a new 3.5mm male plug onto my speaker wire? There's a short inside the existing plug that cuts out sound on the right channel. Thanks!

Does anybody have experience with both the old clear cable and the new black cable? Any opinions on which is better and why?

With the W3, it is important to figure out which tips works best for you. I personally prefer the yellow foam tips. To my ears, W3 + yellow foam tips = UM3X sound + visceral bass. Perfect for music that requires intensity.

My opinion is that the UM3X is less warm than the W3, but YMMV

The problem with customs is resale value. With universal IEMs, you can always sell yours on the forum (or eBay) and recoup most of your cost. With customs, that is not an option.
