I love my 12-60 to bits! Solid wide angle, good telephoto and fast to boot. Yeah, its quite a bit heavier (not to mention pricier) than the 14-54 or the kit lens but I think its all worth it. I did consider the 14-54 but felt that other than being faster, it really didn't give me much more...

I'm just curious here but why is it that portable amps don't have a battery level indicator? Just a simple row of LED lights to show how much power is left on the thing. Can't imagine it taking up a lot of space or consuming much power.

Ｗｏｗ! 23hrs is pretty damn good! Will have to give that combo a go. Edit: Just gave the combo a go, did you notice a rasping sound when the amp is turned off? I get a rasping sound when the USB cable is connected and squelch when it isn't.

Agree, isolation isn't that fantastic though it does have some.

Won't know the quantities of each metal unless somebody does a more detailed analysis on it, I'm afraid. A guy took a part the IC and exposed the bare wires and they were silver-ish which doesn't tell you much really.

I've just tried out the ISL55002/THS4032 while burning in Viper. It gives about 11.5 to 12 hours of battery life.

I don't know about you guys but I sure am enjoying this! I found the bass of the HDPHX to be far to over-powering though.

I wonder if the opamp combos that worked great on the Viper could be translated to the Heron?

YAY!! Its quite big though, bigger than the Viper. The opamp set provided is quite similar to the one offered by Hiflight.

Copper is non-magnetic and thus would not be attracted to the magnet.

Just a quick check Peter regarding the VAT. If a local shop here in Singapore were to order them in from you, would the VAT still be charged? Just want a rough estimate of how much it'll cost if it makes its way here.

It was claimed by the shop that its a silver cable. While I know that silver cables usually are NOT pure silver but usually alloyed with other metals (usually copper?) for ductility, I'm just wondering if the good quality silver cables would have any iron or steel in them.
