Help with recording setting. Urgent
Could anybody please help me with the recording setting for a research project in acoustic phonetics? I was collecting some pilot speech data for pitch and intensity analysis on Praat, but something seemed to have gone wrong with the equipment configuration. I was using Sony ECM55B...- prosound

Identifying a fake Sennheiser MX 760!

how about the apple in earphone?is it sounds good?wo want it but i do not know so much about it .
^ Please note that the Apple In Ear reviewed in that post refers to the 2nd generation with microphone and remote control. It has two drivers in each earpiece and hence called ADDIEM (Apple dual driver in ear monitor) on head-fi. That actually is not a bad product at all. It is a clean...- prosound

Worst IEM you owned so far
Audio-Technica CK32 (if I remember the model right, and strictly canalphones are not IEMs, I know). Mediocre build quality and weak sound (in almost all respects). But that was my first attempt at higher quality phones. They did burn-in after extended listening and improved a little bit. They...- prosound

Best <£60 earphones for 3 hour daily bus commute?
The current lower end Shure line does not seem to receive much love here. Well within your budge there is radiopag custom tuned http://radiopaqproducts.com/custom_tuned.htm I haven't heard them myself so can't really recommend, but remember seeing some nice things said about them on head-fi...- prosound

Help for a stylish -yet good- closed headphones :)
The Audio-Technica ATH-ES7 hasn't got much colour, but most head-fi'ers would agree that it's got style, and they're good sounding headphones. So it's all about the question if stainless steel (you have choice of black or white) is your cup of tea. P.S. information is from this side...- prosound

Best <£60 earphones for 3 hour daily bus commute?
Haven't had experience with the super.fi 4, but good foam tips like Complys shouldn't fall out easily. My experience with long transport is that isolation and comfort is the key. I've never had issues with IEMs falling out of my ears, perhaps because I have rather small ear canals. If you remain...- prosound

Has anyone compared the Sennheiser´ MX760 to the JVC HA-FX34?
They're very different beasts, aren't they? The Marshmallows, being canalphones, will offer some isolation, while the MX760 cannot as earbuds. Marshmallows sound fun, though some find the sound cheap. The Sennheiser buds, IMHO, do not sound like lower quality at all. They are quite refined...- prosound

Apple iBuds Appreciation Thread
I have found the iBuds that came with 3rd gen Shuffle an improvement over the old 2nd gen iBuds that shipped with the iPods before the birth of Classic. However, they fail to handle some orchestral pieces well, for example, lows on the strings are sometimes muffled. I really like the sound...- prosound

Glasses and full-size cans??
Observation: pads on full-size cans are in contact with the legs of the spectacles frames. Theory 1: round pads are less likely to be in contact with the legs of spectacles and therefore less likely to cause the discomfort (A700s and ESW9s both have round pads right?) Theory 2: the...- prosound
