Yep. The NE4 was my favorite as well for the same reasons detailed above. I think they are all excellent but found the midbass and "thickness" of sound overwhelming on the XE. The KR was just not as alive to my ears as the NE. I could very happily live with any of them.

Ve tour kit is off to @riverground. Great set of earphones. The Phoenix is really outstanding but is too similar to the a18s that I have. The EXT was my favourite as I don't have anything quite like it. It's a little weird. Thin with big bass but delicate and fun.

Hi from Edmonton. I received the kit in excellent condition from Otto Motor. As noted previously, there is a filter missing from the EXT Left earpiece. I will notify the next two group members today.

The XE6 looks amazing. Love my a12t though...

I still love the Sony MDR Z1R. Not technically the best. Organic and deliscious anyway.

Vision Ears VE8. First listen. I know it's new headphone syndrome. These are getting old in relative terms but they really are excellent earphones. If this is the VE house sound, I'm in love. Amazing right from a smartphone. Like the love child of EE Phantom and a 64Audio a12t. Missing...

Hi guys, I received the Canadian VE kit today. It was packaged well and looks to be in great condition. I will start listening tonight. Thanks again to Barra for setting this up. It really is a special treat for those of us in the North. Only a few specialty stores in all of Canada.

I would get the complete opposite headphone. Go closed lush and musical. Don't sell the Sennheiser it is awesome. Get a used ZMF or Sony MDR-Z1R.

I would second the EE Phantoms. I've got the a12t as well which are awesome but lacks the lovely rich midrange of the Phantom. You do loose some energy and extension up top and get some midbass bloat but it sure is an easy listen. Love them.
