Well, I have heard it with the NuForce Primo 8 and the sound level is enough. But for Stax, either Sr009+727II or Baby Stax, better to have the FIIO X5.   The UI is perfect but the low volume line out is ridiculous for a +1000 euros price tag......

I always use the line out in the X3 and the x5 (just for a few hours, I admit) to connect them to my Stax system (either baby stax or SRM T1S plus SR 5). Never had problems......

It has been sorted in the fiio x5 thread, page 470, my firmware version is 1.20 and new beta version 1.23 sorts the problem. So all I need to do is to upgrade the firmware

Gapless not working in my Fiio x5, I am playing HD tracks. The gap is very short, but enough to spoil listening to classic music ( like the orchestra stopping suddenly in the middle of a piece and then continuing in a fraction of a second....).

I was playing by category album, and I have just tried folder playing and the gap is still there.....

Hi, after purchasing the x3 a few weeks ago I am now the proud owner of the fiio x5. Really nice..... But I have a doubt. I have set the gapless reproduction but it seems not to work, at least on HD tracks. There is a gap that albeit brief, spoils the lsitening experience in classic music...

And now, it stops playing gapless at the end of the 4th song…..and freezes, and I need to reboot…….
