I wouldn't call LCD-X a laid back headphone and I haven't listen to it with TT2, but IME LCD 4 matched very well with TT2.

In my experience the TT2 needed 2-3 hour warm-up before it sound at it best. A bit less if playing music.

HE1000se is the headphone that sounds closest to Susvara. OG HE6 sound very different to Susvara.

I agree HE6 and Susvara do not sound the same to me. The HE6 is more punchy, direct and aggressive/raw with a sometimes almost piercing treble. Susvara is more refined, relaxed and smooth sounding.

HE6 and Susvara are the exceptions and the extra power/current from the balanced output will probably sound better. Let us know when you have tested?

I would not say that the balanced outputs decreases transparency. I heard it more as a decrease in tonalitet/naturalness, but that's just me.

DI20HE is great and will add no coloration. Some people have had problem with AGD firmware and noise thou.

I did this test a long time ago with my LCD-3 and didn't like it - lost to much top energy (upper mid and treble). To dull sounding. I use them on my HE-6, witch has a bit to much energy there IMO.
