Audiophiles....HT receiver or Headphone amp: which is better?
Thanks for the replies guys much appreciated. A few comments/clarifications: I've decided to keep my AV receiver in the sound chain, and went with a Schiit Modi Multibit DAC which I'll be using to connect from my PC to the Modi to the receiver(via RCAs). I should have clarified......I...- isamu

Audiophiles....HT receiver or Headphone amp: which is better?
Hi guys. Been a long time since I been on this forum :) I've owned a pair of Beyer Dynamics DT880's for about 8 years now, and I still love 'em. I was always under the assumption that pairing(no pun intended) a pair of headphones with an Home Theater receiver was among the best solutions to...- isamu

Does anyone happen to own a Sony D-555 discman from back in the day?
Hi guys. Anything changed in the last 12 years? :p You know what I would like to see? I would like to see someone mod the D-555 so that it allows it to play tracks from a Micro-SD card, rather than a CD. Or perhaps a mod that allows a line in signal for even a usb connection for external...- isamu

Does the Realtek ALC887 support Bit Perfect? If so, how does the sound compare to running bit perfect from a Sound Blaster card?- isamu

Bitperfect Realtek help
Hi guys. So just to confirm, you can achieve 100% bit perfect audio from most of the current RealTek on board chips? If so, how would you compare the sound quality to say, a Sound Blaster card, if both are running bit perfect?- isamu

Simple Minds. How do the remasters sound against the originals?
Im gonna be listening to these again soon, just to see if there's any perceivable difference between the old masters and the new in terms of the mixing itself. -

Revisiting my E-MU 1616M and I'm soooo glad I took the plunge 4 years ago :) Still sounds every bit as good as the day I bought it! Gotta re-learn how to tweak it though :(- isamu

So....no one on this ENTIRE forum has compared their iMod to their PC Soundcard?
I am back to listening to me laptop rather than my iMod for my main listening purposes. Reason being, my iMod has rock box installed and it's been acting up a bit lately. Did a complete Windows re-install and then installed Foobar2000, all 300 gigs of my music, and my E-MU 1616M sound card...- isamu

Are there any headphones better than the Sony MDR-7506?
Well it's been a while guys :) Shortly after this thread I kinda got into other hobbies and hardly ever listened to music seriously. But now I'm back to enjoying my music collection again and consequently have been shuffling between my DT-880s and my Sony MDR-7506's. Still loving my...- isamu

Guys I have a very important question.... when using the Nuforce uDAC on a laptop, can you use it to play sound through its internal speakers? If so, how do you set it up this way?- isamu
