I have a Stax Lambda headphone and for some reason, I get a squeaky noise coming from the fright side of the headphone. I believe it is a squeaky noise the moving parts on the housing make, even with the slightest movement of my head. Just wondering if anyone had similar issues and how it...- Capt. Z

Woo WA3 buzz
Hi folks. I have an older Woo WA3 that I seldom use. Last time I turned it on, it made a nice buzz through the headphones, that reminded me of a bad cap in the power supply. So I changed out the ONE cap that is right next to the rectifier. That fixed about 90% of the buzz. But there is still a...- Capt. Z

Connector problems MMCX on Fidue A83
I finally found some IEM that I can listen to and enjoy music while working outside. However, the right channel cuts out on and off and I traced it down to a connection issue with the MMCX connector. I have used a contact spray to clean the contacts, but that seems to be only a very brief...- Capt. Z

AKG K501 vs. AKG K550
I love my AKG K501 but would love to have some closed headphones so my wife can watch TV while I listen to music in the same room without her hearing my music and me not nearing most of the TV. So just wondering if the K550 would sound similar to the K501.- Capt. Z

Sansa LOD question
Just got me a portable headphone amp for my Sennheiser 238 and am wondering if I would get better sound if I used a decent LOD with my Sansa Fuze, instead using the headphone out into the headphone amp. Been looking for some LODs and have read that for 'best' performance the cap in the LOD needs...- Capt. Z

Sennheiser 580/600/650 mod question
Since I've modded my Grado SR60 with some dynamat like stuff inside the plastic housing with good results, I was wondering if anyone tried to do some 'resonance' control on the 580/600/650 since there is plenty of plastic surface inside the headphones.- Capt. Z

I have 2 old Beyerdynamic DT990 headphones, one re-cabled with Canare start quad. My plan is to re-cable it with Cardas. When I replaced the original wire on my Beyer with Canare star quad the highs 'calmed down' and the bass and mids got fuller. Got similar experience with a solid core...- Capt. Z
