I tried the IEM-Z1R at the show driven by my 1Z. First impressions indicate some bass emphasis with an extended high frequency response. Very enjoyable to listen to but maybe a bit heavy on the bass on the 1Z.

A much simpler solution: 1. Open the jpg in MS Paint 2. File -> Save 3. Done! MS Paint doesn't support progressive jpg, so will automatically convert to baseline when you save.

The DAC in the 1Z is likely better than the ones in any of these receivers. If you're only going to use it for 2 channel listening you might be better off looking at fully analog amp and connecting the headphone output from the 1Z.

You can reset the remote by holding play/pause and volume down together for 10 seconds. After this you can pair the same way you did the first time. I was unable to pair my remote with more than one player at a time.

Nothing wrong with it but it's not ideal to convert to digital and back again when all you really want is to amplify the analog signal. I believe someone earlier in this thread also said that the performance of the analog input was not as good as the digital.

I would disagree with that statement. I also own both and I would say they are tuned differently and which one you will prefer is a matter of taste, equipment pairing and what genres of music you listen to.
