Grado e Series
Thanks for the advice everyone, Now I just have one more dilemma. I don't know if I should get the 225's and upgrade my amp or if I should get the rs1's and use my Asgard in the meantime until I can get a solid tube amp. It's just with more research the rs1's are continuing to be a very...- Arion

Grado e Series
Hmm yea the only thing that keeps me from choosing to purchase one over the other is if I want to tube roll or not. It sounds like something I would be interested in but is that ability worth the extra $300ish? I have a budget of around $500 for the amp but I will pm you. Thanks, Arion- Arion

Grado e Series
Thanks for the reply, Which should I lean towards now in your opinion? I have enough for either and I also am looking at is as an upgrade for my Asgard. I know the original lyr wasn't suited for lower impedance headphones but with the lyr 2 it is according to the schiit staff when I asked them...- Arion

Grado e Series
Hello, I about to get some 225e's and a tube amp but just have some questions. I have demoed the 225i and really enjoyed them but based on impressions some have not enjoyed the e verson as much, with myself not being totally familiar with the 225i having only spent 20 or so minutes listening to...- Arion

Thanks for the replies. I am definitely looking at getting the 225e just because it will be easier to get a hold of. But I am still looking for the 325's to demo to see if I like those more.- Arion

Grado e Series
So I was planning on picking up either the 225's or 325's but I was just curious if people found the "i" models to be better than the "e" models. I have demoed the 80i, 225i, and PS500 and I really like the Grado sound so I don't know if I should pick up one of the newer models or go for the...- Arion

Looking for that "Wow" headphone for my tastes
I got a chance to demo the 225i, 80i, and PS500 and I definitely do like the Grado sound signature. So far I am leaning towards the 225i's but I'm still hoping I can find a place to demo the 325's. Thanks, Arion- Arion

Yet another thread asking for "perfect phones"
Hello, Maybe take a look at the Ultrasone Pro 2900's. They are great all-rounders in my opinion and also are very revealing so it should suit you since you said you liked analytical headphones. They have a removable cable and ear pads and the bass on them are pretty damn good as well as long as...- Arion

Ahh makes sense. I see you also have the HE-400's which I also looked at. How do they compare to the Grados for rock and indie music? Thanks, Arion- Arion

Looking for that "Wow" headphone for my tastes
Yea for sure, thus far I have tried the M-100's and the Ultrasone Pro 2900. I really love the M-100's for electronic music but I find with the recessed mids and the lack of sparkle and detail in the mids and highs I don't find them as enjoyable for other genres with at home listening as I find...- Arion

Looking for that "Wow" headphone for my tastes
That's what I have been reading, but apparently some people prefer the 225i's due to them being less bright. But I may have found a couple local stores that sell Grado so I'm hoping I will be able to audition them. Thanks, Arion- Arion

Thanks for the response, Based on your description it definitely sounds like its worth checking out. I was actually just looking at 225e's so I'm glad I might be going in the right direction. If you have heard the 225's would you be able to tell me how they differ from the 325's? Thanks, Arion- Arion

Looking for that "Wow" headphone for my tastes
Hello, I haven't visited head fi in a while but I wanted to come back and ask for some advice. Thus far on my headphone journey I have yet to have that "wow" moment with any of genre of music besides Pop and electronic (with the M100) but now I am looking for that more with Rock and indie...- Arion

Yea it has been fixed. I own the Asgard and have used it with my M-100's. But just as a extra precaution I wait till I hear the click when you first turn it on before plugging my headphones in (happens 5-6 seconds after turning the amp on) , and then I always unplug them from the amp before...- Arion

X2 I have had these since October and have been loving them, but I haven't been posting that much about them so I assume plenty of people are doing the same so maybe the reviews aren't as mixed as they seem.- Arion

V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.
I have never heard the cmoy so unfortunately I can't really comment. But the bass boost is really great on the zo2 so I would go with that. But look for other opinions on it. And also you really don't need an amp so I would say listen to the headphones by themselves first and decide then if...- Arion

I am also in Canada and with the faster shipping option with tracking it took exactly 6 days. It would have been a day or so earlier if it wasn't for the post office being closed on thanksgiving. Hope this helps,- Arion
