Just saw a guy walking around with Sony XB500s or 700s. Not too sure. But this heavily surprised me especially because I'm in a high school infested with beats fever.

I have the HFI 580 and I don't feel the bass to be lacking at all. It sounds full and lush while still being able to give me just the right amount of rattle I like.     Then again, I'm no basshead so maybe other peoples' tastes are for much more bass than I look for.

Don't worry about the date being availible, that just means that the product was being sold on Amazon at that time. The product is going to remain the same, there is no "new" model of the HFI 780.   Also to determine whether it'd be better than the beats studio for you, it'd help a bunch if...
