Anybody?

Has anybody purchased one of the Lite Audio (or other brand) DACs from Vocative Audio for shipment to the US. The prices seem good but I've never heard anyone here discuss them. thanks.

Anybody running this unit balanced who could draw a comparison between single-ended and balanced on this DAC?

ATH-W11JPN : these just seem like the were perfectly voiced for live performances by my favorite band - which is about 90% of what I listen to. Grado PS-1 : when the W11JPNs are too mellow, these just flat out rock.

The Squeezebox can play Apple Lossless files. It decodes them at the server level (through Quicktime) and then streams the decoded ALAC file as a FLAC to the Squeezebox (or optionally WAV) which it decodes on the Squeezebox itself.

What version slimserver and firmware are you using?

Would anyone, who has the sophistication that I don't, be able to create an impulse response file to be used in Foobar's convolver that matches the equalization performed by the AT-DHA3000? I'd start playing with this myself except that 1) I have no idea how to create and edit waveform files...

I too would love to know the answer to this - I would like to implement an equalization curve for the L3000 in the Foobar convolver. Anyone successfully done this? Maybe something that tracks with the equalization provided by the DHA3000?

How much did these run you? I have thought that they look pretty sweet.
