Selling my pair of Z1R headphones. These are very enjoyable and extremely comfortable, but have not been seeing as much use lately. They are in good condition, with some wear. Includes original box, 1/8 cable with 1/4 adapter, and a 4-pin XLR cable. Pictured stand not included.

The feedback mod is supposed to be worthwhile on the 727. The 717 is a different design and doesn't need modding.

I would try to find a used 717 for around $1000. Then save up for a LL2 or BHSE

  I think you are confusing the two. The one with the transformers on top is the production version. The one with the transformers inside the chassis was the initial run. Both have external power supplies.

  I've alternated between the two, but I currently own the HD800. I think they are different enough to justify owning both. I probably wouldn't own both the HD800 and 009.

I agree. I think the 007 has an advantage in tone and non-fatiguing sound, but the HD800 does better in technicalities. It's nice to own both!

Looks very similar to mine. Just picked up this past weekend from my dealer  

I've swapped between MK1 and MK2 pads a couple times on my 007mk1s. I prefer the comfort of the latter, but seem to prefer the sound from the former. I'm guessing I'm just able to get a better seal with them. It's such a pain in the ass swapping pads though that I gave up experimenting.

Something came up and I won't be able to make it after all.  I was looking forward to it. Have fun!
