New: Sunrise Sw-Xcape Ver 2
I just got Xcapes V2's. I don't have any experience with the v1's or any other IEM's so I can't really review or compare. But the little clamshell case it comes with is very awesome!!! Though it does look a little like my girlfriend's compact for her makeup PS: I ordered from...- Silentnoise

New: Sunrise Sw-Xcape Ver 2
Just a heads up- I emailed Bugden audio. I had placed an order for them a few days ago, and was trying to cancel so I could get the version 2's. They emailed me back, the shipment they have coming in is the version 2. Edit: And they charge $79.99- Silentnoise

Gaming & Music & Movie watching down to 3 headphones which is best?
I'm mostly using my 595's with the Astro mixamp, but I have used the AD700's as well. The Ad700's do not fit my head at all, they kept sliding off my ears and I could never get a good seal. My friend didn't have that issue, though he has a larger head than me.- Silentnoise

For the Gamers: Astro A40 2011 Unboxing/ Initial impressions.
Nice video! I was never a fan of the A40 headset. I haven't tried the 2011's- seems like all that is changed is the earpads and mic, so I don't really expect the sound to be much better. I guess sound quality matters alot less when playing games compared to music, but with its $200 price tag...- Silentnoise

Pairing food with headphones
I find if I munch on potato chips while listening to my AD700's, it adds to the bass and really makes the sound fuller. If I eat extra-hot salsa with my Grados, it makes me forget about the discomfort of wearing them because I am focusing on the fire in my mouth.- Silentnoise

Anyone ever bought stuff off Ecom Electronics? I ordered the HD650 from them.
Quote: Maybe you can call them up and tell them you have waited long enough and you don't want it anymore, and they better refund you the money. Its worth a shot! Especially since you can get them $100 cheaper elsewhere, and with a better warranty policy.- Silentnoise

Did you pay $414 for them? If so you might want to see if you could still cancel your order and get them from J&R. If you call them, you can get them for $330-350, and they have been proven to be reliable- Silentnoise

Logitech G35 Gaming Headset Review
My friend received these for Christmas, which I got to test out. I agree with OP. The sound quality on these are just not up to par, especially at $130. If it was in the $60 range, I could see the value. I really like most Logitech products too, except their headphones. After listening...- Silentnoise

HD595 Sounds terrible
I use the Astro Mixamp + HD595's and I have a PS3. Sounds like you might have a dud. But if the surround sound is not working, it probably has more to do with your Mixamp or the settings on your PS3, than the headphones. Have you tried other headphones with your Mixamp? Can you hear the...- Silentnoise

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
There is a guy in my town selling a pair of 4 month old Sennheiser HD650's for $320. I'm very tempted...I might go over there and try them out to see if its worth the upgrade. I have no idea what amp he has though.- Silentnoise

Headphones you regretted buying the most
Quote: They are all PS3 compatible with the Astro Mixamp. The Mixamp is a quality product. The A40's are very mediocre in terms of sound quality, which is a shame since they are quite expensive. Most gamers who buy them do so because they see their MLG sponsored pro's wear them...- Silentnoise

Headphones you regretted buying the most
Quote: Not really. You can get cheaper headsets that have better audio quality (such as Sennheiser PC350, Razer Carcharias, etc). Or the better option would be get a good pair of headphones with a good soundstage, and just use a separate mic, no need to actually modify your...- Silentnoise

Headphones for PC (mostly gaming and music)
Quote: He said he wants headphones, not a headset. He also said he is wearing them in public. Would you wear your PC350's in public, with a huge mic? I've used the AD700's for gaming. They might not be the most bass heavy, but for gaming the bass is fine. I didn't like the...- Silentnoise

a good AMP for the Sunrise Sw-Xcapes?

Listen to 595s in Los Angeles area?
I've used the AD700's and the 595's for gaming....if you already have the AD700's, I wouldn't change. I didn't think one was an improvement over the other for gaming.- Silentnoise

PS3 surrond sound help please
Hi, I own the Astro Mixamp (5.8 wireless version). I've also tested the Tritton AXPro's. I can tell you without a doubt, the best combo is to go Astro Mixamp + quality headphone/headset. I would not recommend the Astro A40 or A30 headsets, they are overpriced and their sound quality is not...- Silentnoise
