How to clean the in-ears I bought?
Just bought some used (but perfect new condition) Monster Turbine Pro Coppers. I got them for a very good price and yes they are genuine. But for hygiene reasons I obviously don't really want to put something deep into my ears that have been deep into another strangers ears. So without using...- Ak-Boss

"Five of the best headphones on the market" Yahoo review (funny)
Lots of people commenting that think their sub 30 dollar headphones are just as good and anyone who spends 300 on headphones is stupid.- Ak-Boss

"Five of the best headphones on the market" Yahoo review (funny)
While browsing the intrawebs and starting on my usual homepage, I saw in the news/article section a title that read "Five of the best headphones on the market". So me being into headphones and knowing that the Yahoo journalists who were writing that article probably knew nothing about...- Ak-Boss

Why don't more people use EQ to get the desired sound?
I am always playing around with my EQ for each individual song. But half the time when I can't be bothered I just used preset itunes EQ's. Bit of treble booster when I want to hear everything really clearly, R&B when I want the additional bass for hip-hop/rap/grime etc. It really does bring the...- Ak-Boss

ATH M50s flatter bass after burn in? Can the "subs" bust?
This song will truly tell you if your subs are gone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FonmhUBsXOY&hd=1 Put it at 1080p and brace yourself, at around 32 seconds the ultra low frequency bass will kick in that is pretty much continuous throughout the song. On crappy headphones it will sound...- Ak-Boss

Beats Pro Review!l
You might be better off with the Bose QC15 if you are looking for something purely for flights and really want to block out unwanted noise. I've not yet used my Pros on a plane but I can say that so far they seem quite good at passive noise isolation. They rely on a tight fit to block out...- Ak-Boss

Beats Pro Review!l
I came across this thread and even though it's a little old I thought my honest opinion on the Beats Pro may benefit some people that have posted in here asking about them. Now half of you will probably look negatively upon the Beats Pro even before trying them simply because they are part of...- Ak-Boss

Do 320kbps mp3 files really sound better? Take the test!
Not really enough going on in the song to make the difference as clear as it could be but I did get it right. The give away for me was the snare and cymbal, it had a lot more detail in the 320 version. beats pro through imac.- Ak-Boss

Why beats by dr.dre are great for the music industry
Quote: Hey, I agree with everything you have said other than the paragraph I have bolded. The reason I disagree is because they do actually make a big thing out of their sound quality. Supposedly (this is what they have told us) they started making beats by dre so we could listen to...- Ak-Boss

Why beats by dr.dre are great for the music industry
There is a lot of hate for the beats by dre headphones on this site, but many don't realise what these headphones are actually doing for the music industry. Take the average iPod/iPhone consumer for example; upon purchasing their device they will be perfectly happy to spend their future...- Ak-Boss

Can I get better than 320kbps sound quality?
Quote: Thanks for the reply. Fair enough about needing to brace myself however I don't really see the Beats Pro's as being the typical beats by dre headphones. They have very good sound quality however it's just a shame that they have to be part of the "beats by dre" product line. If... -
Can I get better than 320kbps sound quality?
Lately I have been doing some research into the quality of my music. I've learned about various formats of music and it seems that lossless audio is the way to go for the best quality, even if it does mean sacrificing a lot of storage. So at the moment the majority of my music is at 320kbps and... -
Beats By Dre Pro (Do I buy?)
At the moment I own a pair of Beats Solo HD's and did previously (kind of) own a pair of M50's. Now I like them both a lot and find them to be quite similar in terms of sound quality however I think it's time to move up a little. The Beats By Dre Studios are out of the question as they don't...- Ak-Boss

So I tried the ATH-M50's
And I wasn't overly impressed to be honest. After all the hype on Head-Fi I was expecting to be amazed by them. I'd probably put them on par with the Beats By Dre Solo HD only with a weaker, less punchy bass and not as much treble. And I'd have to say the Beats look a lot more stylish and are...- Ak-Boss

What to do with my old headphones?
I have recently bought some new headphones, however I am still left with my older (but still quite expensive) headphones. I live in the UK and I'm wondering if there is anywhere that will give me a decent amount for them? Ebay is a no because there are loads of fakes out there that ruin peoples...- Ak-Boss

Yesterday i bought a pair of Beats Solo HD .....
Quote: Well considering the aesthetics have pretty much turned most Beats headphones into fashion accessories kind of proves my point. I should also point out that I was discussing the Solo HD's and not the Studios as you can actually adjust the headband with the Solo HD's. The...- Ak-Boss

The Numbering Disease: Where Skullcandy and Monster Win
I think you have a great point here. I've owned many headphones over the years and they have all just had random names which mean nothing to me. It was only recently when I bought myself a pair of Sennheiser CX-"Insert number here" and I genuinely cannot remember what that number was. The appeal...- Ak-Boss

Yesterday i bought a pair of Beats Solo HD .....
Great review! I think Monster really did listen to the critics as these are heaps ahead of the original Solo's. I guess they got a little carried away with the bass at first which became somewhat problematic by distorting the sound and making it sound muddy. The new HD's not only have the same...- Ak-Boss

ath m50 vs beats solo hd
I can't really comment on the M50's but I did own a pair of Q40's which are often compared to the M50's and said to be very similar. What I can tell you is that the Beats Solo HD's are more comfortable to wear and look undoubtably much better. The chunky red/orange wire is something I have...- Ak-Boss

Gym head phones with lots of bass
Beats Tours sound great, all Monster headphones actually sound great. Maybe a little pricey but they do come with great aerhetics and a name known by many.
