    Philips Fidelio X2?!

Got these on the Prime day deal. Generally very impressed. I think these are a great complement to my HD600. The sound stage is larger, bass quantity is increased and generally more pleasing than the HD600. However sometimes it can be looser bass than the HD600 depending on the song. The highs...

    Sennheiser HD650 vs AKG K7XX

I am going to listen closely to my K7xx and HD600 again, as my initial thoughts on bass were different. I felt like they had similar amounts of bass, just in different areas (sub vs mid)

    Shure SE215 jack fitment

Just got the SE215's in the mail today. I was excited to listen to them, but it looks like the cable is very robust and the plastic/rubber around the 3.5mm jack is very thick. As a result I cannot use it with my iPhone in its case. Does anyone else have this problem? What are the the options for...

Best IEM that fit Shure Olives under $60

looks like your tips are smaller. The problem with the ATH CKM500's is that they are too thick so you can't even get the foam tips around them.   My shure olives have a narrower opening than yours it seems.

Best IEM that fit Shure Olives under $60

Hi all,   My klipsch S4's have stopped working recently, likely a problem with the cabling. I figured I would make an upgrade with the ATH CKM500's. I like the sound of these much more than the S4's, but they do not seem to fit the Shure olives. I have tried stretching the Shure olives with...

Looking for bookshelf speakers ~$300! What do you think of these?

Went with the Emotiva Airmotiv 4's and I am very pleased. The bass is accurate and tight enough that it doesn't leave me craving more, just like the HD 600. The highs are beautiful. Clarity is great, the speakers allow me to enjoy the music without getting in the way. This has been a nice...

Setting up Fiio E9 with speakers. Volume control?

That's exactly what I needed, thank you. It's working beautifully now

Setting up Fiio E9 with speakers. Volume control?

I just bought some Airmotiv 4's and RCA cables. I have connected the speakers to the line out RCA plugs, and as expected, the volume knob won't change the volume since I'm bypassing the amp. The problem it that it's a pain to adjust the volume because each speaker has its own independent volume...

Would you guys recommend them over the Bx5 and a5+s? What is the sound signature like

Looking for bookshelf speakers ~$300! What do you think of these?

I'm looking for new speakers to replace my Logitech Z-2300 2.1 computer speakers.    These speakers would primarily serve as desktop speakers for near field listening. Maybe occasionally I would move them to the living room for some small kick backs. I listen to punk rock/ska, hip-hop, EDM...

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

Quote:   I havn't measured it, which I think would be a ridiculously anal thing to do for this situation, but I approximate the levels to what I consider a reasonable level. At these approximately equal levels, you can easily hear the bass out of the E9 to be far superior to that coming...

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

Quote:   From my experience the amping isn't really that important for the volume, but moreso for the sound quality. Even my laptop or ipod can get the volume to a more than adequate level. I havn't heard the E17 so I can't comment on it, I've only heard the E7 and E9, and the E9 is...

A Concise View of Why The ATH-M50 is No Longer King

Ok I don't know if I'm even on topic anymore because I just read the first page. But I don't think the "M50 hater wagon" is acurate. The m50's are good headphones, but to give them as much credit as they are given, I think its sometimes overstated. I got the old version almost two years ago for...

Turtle Beach Audio Advantage Micro II is too loud??

Quote: To get past the problem I've been connecting my turtlebeach to my airhead amp through an auxiliary cable. Off the airhead I'm able to control the volume and lower it.

The Audio Technica M50 studio monitor thread

Is there any other way to definitively tell whether you have the new or old versions. I bought mine in the summer of 2010 but don't have the box. Maybe if I saw pictures of the two different boxes I would be able to remember which one it was. Not a huge deal, I was just curious is all.

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

Quote: My HD600's feel way too delicate to me for me to use portably. Plus being open makes them really impractical to use anywhere other than a quiet room. I'm usually pretty satisfied with the M50's. Although nowhere near in sound quality, they are foldable, closed, and durable.
