Need to upgrade from my MTPG
Quote: Those seem nice. Is there a big difference between EQ5 vs EQ7? Not a huge price difference. I could swing the eq7 if they are that much better..- 408mike

Miles Davis Trubute vs TripleFi 10
Is the miles davis good for trance and other EDM? Between the MTMD vs MTPC vs TF10, which of the three is best for electronic music? Need tight, exciting bass, deep extension, great mids, decent soundstage- 408mike

Need to upgrade from my MTPG
Quote: This is a possibility. I am worried they have slower bass response though, I think Joker said for Trance I wanted to go with the Coppers over the MD because of the faster response the coppers offer. I am really interested in the SM2, easy to drive and they should have...- 408mike

Need to upgrade from my MTPG
Well it's that time. I decided a while back to go over ear and bought a pair of Ultrasone 580's which I LOVE LOVE LOVE. I am getting to the point where my MTPG are wearing out..I fear they may break soon (I use em at the gym). Anyway, I listen almost exclusively to Trance, Hardstyle and...- 408mike

What are the pluses and minuses to the 595? How does it sound compared to M50 and HFI 580? And it sounds great unamped? Quote:- 408mike

Can you guys shoot me some recommendations for some cans, sub $200 price range, powered well by an ipod and sound great when listening to jazz classical or talk radio? I am looking at a few sennheisers right now, the 595 jumps to mind, but I am open to suggestions.- 408mike

Got my 580's in!!!!
These have recessed mids???? Says who???? If anything the bass is lacking oomph, but overall the sound is pretty neutral. Bass sounds a little bloated here and there, I expect this to tighten up, but overall I am VERY impressed and the mids are NOT recessed in the least.- 408mike

Gotcha thanks! Yeah I see brand new ones for $115. This will be my next purchase. Also the cowon media center I downloaded sounds a fair amount better than Windows media player, I am impressed! Hey does anyone know how to uninstall media player? I never use it. Quote:- 408mike

Got my 580's in!!!!
Hmm downloading the BBE now. These cans sound fantastic, right out of the box they blow my golds away. They are burning in via pink noise tonight, tomorrow back to more brown pink and varying music genres. What do you think about a rockboxed sansa fuze? Will that push them properly? Quote...- 408mike

Got my 580's in!!!!
Hour 6 or so now. Gave them 2 hours of pink noise, coming to life nicely. Haven't heard MUCH difference, just little things. Lots of smaller details coming to life. Might try a couple hours of brown noise to bring the drivers to life, right now the highs are slightly sibilant as well. ...- 408mike

WOWOW this track RUMBLES right here Excited at 100 hours how these will sound. Volume is pretty low right now because they are only 2 hours into burn in, but at 50 I will be cranking it, and really testing them out at 100! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CA25E0DNd3Y- 408mike

I definitely see some potential. REALLY amazed at how much lower of a volume these things sing at! With my Gold's I would have the volume cranked up to 80, these sing LOUDER at 40! It's really an amazing difference. Quote:- 408mike
