LunaC No, you're right. It's a dual BA. But yes, the x20i is what I have. My mistake.

Also you could probably email Etymotic with the serial numbers from the drivers and they could tell you when it was produced.

@Hutnicks For sure one of my best audio purchases. Absolutely zero regrets and they hold up to new multidriver (Noble 5) and hybrid releases (Klipsch X20i), for me.

I've had a pair for about ten years, and they work just fine.  So probably not.

Those are the (relatively) newer versions.  The old version has the red and blue connectors and a green resistor at the cable tie. 

Got my P1's in from Jet yesterday. They are getting burned in on a balanced cable with my Pono. After an initial listen they seem like ER-4's with an exaggerated bass (in a good way). Excited to see how they sound after burn in. Also, they are retail packaged and perfect. Not worried about the...

Was it the connectors or the cables? Now I'm concerned.

It took them a few days to ship, although I did order on a friday night.  Shipping notification mailed on monday morning.  Should be here by Saturday.  

Anyone know the bore thickness of these? Looks larger on the tip and then smaller toward the housing. Greatly appreciated.

It says "Fulfilled by DeepDiscount", whomever that is.  I'm pretty happy about the price and not really worried about the warranty.  But we'll see, hopefully it's not grey market of all the initial bad run.

Actually I have a prerelease version of the westone am pro 30, and it's pretty magnificent. The westone fit for me is perfect. I've had the w4, w4r, and w40. All are ok, but a little muddy with bass bleeding into the mids. So the AM 30 sounds better than all of these. A spacious sounding westone...

Hello everyone. Getting a pair of Noble 5 universals reshells soon (audiologist on Friday). Can anyone comment on the ambient port? Does it effect the sound? Maybe make it more spacious or a better soundstage? I like the idea of adding it because it can always be plugged and not use if I need...

Thanks for the hint about the cinching them up to keep from tangling. I have the bax with ACS evolve universals. And I love them, except for the untangling every time.

Pono player! It can't handle a single ended ER-4S, but balanced it sounds lovely.
