Earbud buyer's guide, feat. TM5, OK1, PK1, ATH-CM700, OK2, K319, OK3, PK3, PK2
Quote: Yeah I hope you get your hands on a pair because those are nearly impossible to come across. I completely agree though, for your phone, TM5 is the way...With the amount of bass they deliver and since they're so easy to drive, they fit the bill pretty nicely. Post back any...- LWKING

Review: Fischer Audio's DBA-02
So I've been following these things for awhile. It looks like quite a few people who ordered the last batch just got them in. Does anybody know when these will become available again? After this thread I sort of need a pair!- LWKING

Lost my Fischer Audio's DBA-02, do i get IE8
Quote: Ouch! Wow, that just made me sad, especially because I'm trying to get my hands on a pair myself. Chances are the person who finds them will have absolutely no idea what they just landed on! Anyways, if you like the sound, why change it? If you get the IE8 you may end up liking...- LWKING

IEM of Full sized Headphone?
Hm.. Interesting. What types of situations do you use them in? I may have to get both. This time around I'm going for close to "perfection." I'd rather get it right the first time, but if I have to I'll get the other .- LWKING

IEM of Full sized Headphone?
I finally decided to move on from earbuds. I absolutely love them but for the money I dish out, I'd like to have something that feels a little bit nicer. Also, I'm curious because I feel like I'm missing out somehow. I've never had a real IEM or a full sized headphone before so I'm looking to...- LWKING

Klipsch ifi upgrade possible?
Quote: lol. Looks like I made the right choice. Quote: I''m assuming the laptop is an XPS and the buds are by Creative. Yeah I hope to get a set of RB-51s from Klipsch when I graduate and slowly piece together a 5.1 system. I've just always been afraid of having really nice...- LWKING

Klipsch ifi upgrade possible?
Yeah it seems a little tough to find information on those. Anyways, I'm not really looking for anything in that price range, I already have the M-Audio AV30s. Picked them up for about $80 for my dorm about a month ago because I didn't want anything super nice because of possible damage. For the...- LWKING

Klipsch ifi upgrade possible?
Yeah it sucks. I just wish I was good at this kind of stuff and was able to fix it. I'm gonna hold on to it though in case I figure it out because Klipsch isn't going to come out with anything GOOD anytime soon in that market because it wouldn't sell. They would just be wasting time/money. The...- LWKING

Klipsch ifi upgrade possible?
This is the absolute best 2.1 system I have ever come across. They absolutely destroy the Promedia 2.1s. I picked them up last year for $60 on craigslist and it took me awhile to find. I actually found two sellers at that time. Now I can't even find one . Anyways, I made the mistake of...- LWKING

I think my NuForce NE-7Ms have died. :(
Yup. Definitely practice a lot on a pair you don't care about until you get the hang of it. You can find a few videos on youtube that will help you out with it. You can also probably find some help in the DIY forum. Be sure not to mix up left and right . When you cut it open you're going to have...- LWKING

BLOX TM5 - top earbud, competing with PK1 and OK1
Hmm. Looks like it's settled then. My TM5s are going up FS next week so anyone interested be sure to keep an eye out. The only question is MX980, DBA-02, or a full sized headphone? Edit: They are up now.- LWKING

I think my NuForce NE-7Ms have died. :(
I doubt its the driver. Usually when a side of an earphone goes out its the connection around the jack. Your best bet is getting another pair. If you're feeling ambitious. Buy a replacement jack from radio shack and learn how to solder. The driver can appear to be dead if it has no connection.- LWKING

Best Pair of Earbuds for me?
With a $120 max the OK2 is out of the question at $130. I'm not too familiar with the PK series of Yuin, but based on what I've seen they are slightly inferior. Basically OK3> PK3 and OK2> PK2. It comes down to preference with OK1 compared to PK1. Anyways. With that budget I agree with...- LWKING

Looking for a recommendation on earbuds around $100
Quote: I love how when people say they want earbuds. Other people basically say, "no you dont." lol Anways, I've owned the OK3 and own the OK2. Yuins are amazing buds, but with a budget of 100, you're not going to get what you want out Yuins at that price range. So as much as it...- LWKING

NuForce NE-7M or Head-Direct RE0
Audeo Phonak PFE. Check them out. I think you'll like what you find. They're a bit more expensive than the RE0's at $140, and at that price range I would personally just save $20 more and just get the DBA 02. OK ignore all that, I just saw that you're trying to stay under 80...- LWKING
