    6/22/13 Denver Colorado Summer Meet

Quote:   I'll be coming with lilkoolaidman (Doug). I am looking forward to hearing some new equipment and seeing everyone again! Not totally sure what equipment of my own I will be bringing, but it will at least be inclusive of:   LCD-2 rev. 2 Audinst HUD-mx1 Matrix M-Stage...

    6/22/13 Denver Colorado Summer Meet

I think I will be attending! I could bring my LCD-2 rev. 3/Matrix M-Stage/Audinst HUD-mx1 stack but considering the list of far better equipment I'm not sure. What do all of you want? If you'd like to hear my rig I will bring it along.

    IC: Colorado meet?

Quote: What if we hosted at one of our houses? I don't think it would be terribly difficult to clear out a space, say in my living or TV room. Anybody know how much Westone cost last year?

    IC: Colorado meet?

I would definitely be in favor of this. I have enjoyed our meets immensely in the past, and I would definitely love to break out some of my new gear which now includes a glorious pair of LCD-2     Quote:   Agreed. It's also nice in an intimate setting-- Unlike RMAF, it doesn't...

Delivery of Headstage Arrow HE 4G

I just received my Arrow last week.   It sounds excellent. I am glad Robert finally came through! He was kind enough to replace my broken 3G with the new 4G. The new treble boost function brings my SM3 to their full potential, I think. Definitely an improvement over the H/O of my J3.

That's really interesting. How does it sound compared to the cotton balls?

    How to hi-end-ify your SRH940

Quote: I owned the 840 in the past, and I will say that I think the 940 is much improved. I will also say, like others have, it is amp dependent. I happen to think it sounds excellent with the Matrix M-Stage.

    How to hi-end-ify your SRH940

After reading extrabigmehdi's review on the Shure SRH940 [http://www.head-fi.org/products/shure-srh-940/reviews/5994], I got a great idea for a reversible pad modification, based on the idea of space between the outside of the ear and the mesh on the inside of the earcup. Basically it consists...

    Products that last forever

Even though it's been said before, I think instruments last forever. I have my Selmer Recital (B-flat clarinet) that was made in Paris in 1985, and my late clarinet teacher's Selmer K-series (A clarinet) that he bought in the 1930's, used (the K-series instruments were made mostly in the 1920s)...

Delivery of Headstage Arrow HE 4G

Quote:   I find a minute amount of solace in the fact that he actually gave a response to your PayPal dispute. Do you remember when you opened it? Perhaps he is being sincere about still developing the G4, although it is taking an inordinate amount of time. I am also pleased to say that...

Delivery of Headstage Arrow HE 4G

Quote: Although it might be the wrong product, have you received it yet?   I'm a little more nervous than before, since recently hearing about Robert's unreliability, poor products, and, most grievously, law suit with Jan Meier in some years past. In honesty, I don't have many...

Delivery of Headstage Arrow HE 4G

Quote: Yeah, I sent my 3G back almost 5 months ago, and Robert hasn't replied to ANY of my emails. He doesn't have an amp ordering page on his site anymore either, and I think he took down the forums. I'm not sure what this means, but unfortunately this will make the second time out of...

Start Making Your Plans For 2011 CanJam @ RMAF (Rocky Mountain Audio Fest)!

Definitely attending, not sure for how long yet. The only nice thing about living in Longmont is its proximity to Denver (and hence, RMAF)    (Edit: Looks like I'll be staying all three days since I coincidentally have that Friday off)

Westone Tour and Colorado Meet August 7th 2011 - Please post pics and impressions (or even pics of your impressions) here

Quote: I did actually. They sounded very similar to my ears, although the vocals on the UM3X seemed more recessed and less lush. Surprisingly, the only universal I liked almost as much as my SM3 was the TF10 Larry brought. They are an excellent value.

Westone Tour and Colorado Meet, August 7th 2011.

Twas a good time today, thanks to Westone for their hospitality and to everybody else for allowing me to listen to your equipment. I feel lucky I didn't break anything this year!!   I was also very surprised that my favorite (universal) IEM I heard was the TF10. I actually liked them better...

Westone Tour and Colorado Meet, August 7th 2011.

So I've got some bad news--I just heard that I have a rather urgent matter to attend to that keeps me from attending the meet that day (it's so convenient when others make plans right over yours, isn't it ) unless we could possibly reschedule a day after. Maybe that way it would be better for...
