I needed to apply the following eq curve to make it usable yet its still harsh to me. The titan is not 100% perfect but by far the closest yet by a large margin. Maybe I had a defective model but the avalon wasnt huge ammounts better.

I can confirm they are quite different in terms of the bass dynamics (new driver is a big change) and also frequency spectrum being a fair bit hotter in treble and upper mids. I would be curious to hear your impressions when they arrive.

I dont think bob could ever make a neutral/flat or ballanced headphone. Every IMR product I have had has emphasised the bass and its why I have bought so many of them. I just dont trust most other products to meet this requirement. For me I want my headphones and sound systems tuned tastefully...

Avalon just arrived for me too. Some wonkiness in the lower treble/upper mids hopefully smooths out with burn in, it's a little sharp. Lower treble and mids are quite forward compared to the semper which now seems very V shaped and recessed. To me the semper has some upper sibilance issues...
