FitEar F111 — Impressions, Reviews & Discussion (previously TO GO! 111)

I have actually never heard of the Ocharaku Flat-4 SUI until now and I'm pretty eager to read any sort of comparison between them and the F111.

Is it true that modded T50RP's (specifically LFF's Paradox mod) is comparable to high end headphones such as the LCD2?

Quote:   You can work something out with LFF, so that you can buy everything from the USA and have it ship to him directly. Just give him a email. Though the T50RP has jumped in price from $74 new from B&H so it's not as cheap as it was a few weeks ago.

I'd recommend listening to some Audio-Technica's in the store. I personally feel they handle Japanese music really well. It's what I listen to mostly and the AT models I've listened to so far I have liked.

Have a pair of close cans, really looking for a pair of sub 400 USD open ones.

I'd suggest looking at the Shure 1440 as a possible choice. I haven't heard them but this thread has a excellent review of them:   http://www.head-fi.org/t/606734/a-shure-shootout-srh-940-vs-srh-1440-vs-srh-1840   I'd also suggest reading up on the ATH-W1000x but that is closed.  ...

Setup for a beginner who wants the "best"?

I would suggest a ODA + ODAC over the Yulong D100 series. Perhaps you should also look at the W1000x against the D7000.   A ODA + ODAC and a W1000x is on the similar level to a D7000 + Yulong D100 MKII, as well as being cheaper.   About volume control, I'm not sure if I know what your...

Epiphany Acoustics join Head-Fi with the EHP-O2 portable headphone amp

I'd like to ask would it be possible to send a EHP-02 back to you so you can put the ODAC in it when it's released? Then again I'm not sure of the postage costs against a new encasement.

    **New comfort King**

Most comfortable in my opinion are Beyerdynamics. I've tried the T1, it does feel a little heavy for me but the lower models are lighter so they are perfect. AKG K701 is good as well, though to bad they had to do that abomination of a headband.

The Quest For The Comfiest Cans

Quote: Agreed. The Sextett gives a great sound for the price (Under £100) , as it's 250 grams and it has optional velour pads for more comfort. For anything to be comfortable, I personally believe it should not exceed 350 grams in weight, all those LCD2 owners complaining about neck...
