I have actually never heard of the Ocharaku Flat-4 SUI until now and I'm pretty eager to read any sort of comparison between them and the F111.- Rayzee

Is it true that modded T50RP's (specifically LFF's Paradox mod) is comparable to high end headphones such as the LCD2?
Quote: You can work something out with LFF, so that you can buy everything from the USA and have it ship to him directly. Just give him a email. Though the T50RP has jumped in price from $74 new from B&H so it's not as cheap as it was a few weeks ago.- Rayzee

I'd recommend listening to some Audio-Technica's in the store. I personally feel they handle Japanese music really well. It's what I listen to mostly and the AT models I've listened to so far I have liked.- Rayzee

Have a pair of close cans, really looking for a pair of sub 400 USD open ones.
I'd suggest looking at the Shure 1440 as a possible choice. I haven't heard them but this thread has a excellent review of them: http://www.head-fi.org/t/606734/a-shure-shootout-srh-940-vs-srh-1440-vs-srh-1840 I'd also suggest reading up on the ATH-W1000x but that is closed. ...- Rayzee

Setup for a beginner who wants the "best"?
I would suggest a ODA + ODAC over the Yulong D100 series. Perhaps you should also look at the W1000x against the D7000. A ODA + ODAC and a W1000x is on the similar level to a D7000 + Yulong D100 MKII, as well as being cheaper. About volume control, I'm not sure if I know what your...- Rayzee

Epiphany Acoustics join Head-Fi with the EHP-O2 portable headphone amp
I'd like to ask would it be possible to send a EHP-02 back to you so you can put the ODAC in it when it's released? Then again I'm not sure of the postage costs against a new encasement.- Rayzee

**New comfort King**
Most comfortable in my opinion are Beyerdynamics. I've tried the T1, it does feel a little heavy for me but the lower models are lighter so they are perfect. AKG K701 is good as well, though to bad they had to do that abomination of a headband.- Rayzee

The Quest For The Comfiest Cans
Quote: Agreed. The Sextett gives a great sound for the price (Under £100) , as it's 250 grams and it has optional velour pads for more comfort. For anything to be comfortable, I personally believe it should not exceed 350 grams in weight, all those LCD2 owners complaining about neck...- Rayzee

Sennheiser HD 700: Officially Unveiled at CES 2012!
It's on pre-order for £599 ($950) here with the 20% VAT. http://www.custom-cable.co.uk/sennheiser-hd700-audiophile-headphones.html Now if you live outside of the EU and apply VAT free, then it would be £480 ($760) £499.99 ($790). Quite strange that they priced it that much lower then the...- Rayzee

Feedback Wanted from International Head-Fiers: USPS vs FedEx
I've got packages from FedEx and USPS to the UK. This is my own personal experience. USPS by far is the superior service in my opinion, times are shorter then FedEx and if delivery isn't made, they deliver it to the local Royal Mail Branch so I can pick it up within walking distance ...- Rayzee

Beyerdynamic T1 and amp pairing help (on a budget T_T)
Quote: I wouldn't assume $1000. You should email them about VAT. The WA2 becomes $1300 not including shipping with Europe's 20% VAT. A jump from £400 to £900 approximately should be treated with caution, it is easy to let your spending get out of hand.- Rayzee

£400+ budget, looking for a good pair of cans
I'd recommend HRT Streamer II as DAC, Objective2 as AMP, and DT880 or DT990 600ohm (I myself would go DT880 as I'm not keen on excessive impacting bass) for £400. Beyerdynamics in general have great comfort and are lightweight, you should check the weight of the headphones your thinking about as...- Rayzee

Had a look at this? http://www.head-fi.org/t/402585/review-summary-a-ranking-of-32-tube-and-tube-hybrid-headphone-amps When I had the T1 I was considering buying a Bottlehead Crack w/Speedball but I don't have the T1 anymore. I believe DIY do offer best value.- Rayzee
